Stopped in twice recently to try and weigh in some stripped copper. Both time cmgit completely ignored by staff who had seen me standing at reception. Can't be bothered, I go back to using Medway metals. Place looks like a bomb site as well

I took a copper cylinder in removing all scale and insulation first, they weighed it and then paid me a figure less than the weight around £45.I then took another cylinder in twice the size of the first again removing insulation and scale beforehand and according to the weight it should have been worth around £180 however they paid me the same as the first cylinder. When I queried this I was told “This is what we pay.” I should have taken it back but I needed to get it off my vehicle to load something else and time is money. I shan’t be caught a third time though.

Easy to find, friendly staff only inconvenient for the loading. A 40' container will be loaded in approximately 2 hours. Overall an organised place where everyone knows what they do.

Convenient, but don't go there if you're in a hurry. Difficult to find with satnav due to postcode, look out for their signs with directions along the way.
