Really suprised at the negative reviews! Lovely little post office, with really friendly helpful staff. One staff member inparticular has an excellent manner with customers (blond haired lady, sorry don't know her name) but she goes the extra mile without doubt. I actually travel an extra few miles to use this post office as I prefer it to my local.

Really dirty, grubby store. Post master rudely suggested that I go elsewhere as my pre-paid postage labels were "putting him out of business". Therefore, I will, until the end of days, go here whenever I have pre-paid postage items to post. The only saving grace is that the other staff are nice and friendly.

Horrible post office. I've had several packages (with pre-paid labels) refused due to supposedly incorrect dimensions (i.e. too large for the specific RM service I've already paid for). I've informed the postmaster/owner that all of them were perfectly fine as I've sent packages of the same dimensions, and using the exact same RM service, before, but he still refused them, point blank.

The service here is absolutely dreadful. They'll take your parcel and measure it rigorously in front of you, as if you were being dishonest, and if they think it's slightly larger than the required dimensions, they'll refuse it or try to get you to pay extra for the "correct" service.

Ironically, the EXACT same packages got accepted at the Sherburn branch right away, without any problems whatsoever.

Also, their attitude is disgusting -- they postmaster literally laughed in my face when I informed him the packages were fine. There was another lady there, too, who joined in.

Definitely avoid them if you can, or be prepared to pay more to get your parcels sent.

Beware of the car park, in fact park somewhere else as the camera system is faulty and the company that "runs" it sends out penalty notices and turns down all appeals before selling on what it calls "debt" to Debt Recovery Plus Limited cowboys who threaten people into paying on their doorsteps. I will no longer be using these businesses when I visit family.

A dreadful post offfice. Owner takes issue with posting items using pre paid labels. Claimed I am putting him out of business. Pre paid labels are convenient and vital to many small businesses. I would likely purchase other items while in the post office sending items but I'll no longer be visiting. Dreadful service.

Apart from the rare occasions , the service is miserable, parking absolutely shambolic at times, and it boils down to I am just happy to at least receive my parcel and get the hell out of that place as soon as possible. I am sure Royal Mail employs a few too many idiots too with little common sense.

The staff in Belmont Post Office are the friendliest and so thourgh in thier work that they make your visit pleasent,I've always been served either at Post Office counter or cards envolopes lottery sweets ect in the same plan kind way but you get people come in with attitude and quite frankly if it was me serving they would be out the door.
