We had got bored with looking after our investments and, although I knew we had some money, I had no idea exactly how much or if I could afford to buy something I wanted.
Kirsty came to see us both and we had a long discussion about what we wanted from our investments and how much risk we were prepared to take. We talked about the importance of keeping a cash reserve and putting money aside for planned expenditure.
