Imagine my surprise when Butlin, our new building managers, showed up and, in a situation where they could have acted very differently, immediately treated me like a grown up. I was honestly lost for words. A bit like that rare feeling when one of the typically joyless airport security robots actually engages with you, like a human being, and makes your day better -- when they could so easily make it worse.

The team at Butlins is always up-to-date with new legislation and works hard to ensure that we get the best value from the funds and contributions made by us leaseholders.
Behind the scenes, they are also very good at navigating the complex and ever-changing regulations and prioritising budgets accordingly.

BPS’s communication sets them apart; I have noticed how they maintain a strong reputation with local trades and have a practical but excellent knowledge of our building’s history, which proves invaluable during maintenance works.

Nick Chatt of Butlin Property Services has been a star in eventually providing the Leaseholders with a successful Fire Risk Assessment at the River Buildings. He has literally spent years pushing to get this issue resolved, despite regular changes in the laws surrounding fire risks, as well as dealing patiently with frustrated leaseholders like myself! He has always been courteous, empathetic, and and most importantly successful in his quest! Well done Nick!

This company managed a building of 76 flats between 2020 and 2024 and the communal areas were continually unclean, lights broken, lift broken for 2 weeks, no cover for concierge illness or annual leave. The staff they employed are lovely, just unable to do their job under terrible management. Failing after failing. Would not let them look after a 1 bed house while on holiday for a week.

Excellent service from start to finish! The team are so lovely and made the experience stress free, quick and easy! Even when I experienced a little plumbing issue during my time at the property they sent one of there contractors out straight away and arranged a time and a day that suited me! It’s been such an easy process and I will really miss the property and the staff that I got to know over time. If your looking to rent a property in the Leicester area, these are the people to call!
