Don’t get why there are so many bad reviews. I lost my car keys. Got some made myself by a reputable company as it was a Japanese import and AA could not make them. I was given the money by keycare within 48 hours after sending them a pic of my V5, a receipt and proof of payment.

10 days after I've started a claim and I've finally had a call from AA key care saying they can get me in next Tuesday? Be aware if you lose your keys and claim with key care they'll just leave you without a vehicle for 2 weeks, all for a service I could have had done on the day by an auto locksmith for about 200 quid, every time they call you they will come us with a reason and say 2 days but then after those 2 days you'll find out that was just to make the next step in the progression of getting it done, 2 weeks later and I'm still without a car, also been informed the replacement key won't even be a branded one, so not like for like, OEM swapped for crap Chinese copy!

Having had Keycare cover for many years without cause to claim we never really knew what their service would be like if called into action. Then recently my wife’s handbag was stolen and in the handbag were her keys to her car and our house. Panic set in as there was a high probability that the thief could find address information in the handbag that would direct them straight to our door and the car on the drive. We contacted Keycare and spoke with Molly. Molly was brilliant, she immediately assured us that we were covered and she would arrange a locksmith to attend our address and change the front door lock asap. She also took details of the coded car key that would need replacement. This all took place soon after midday and just after 5pm that same day a locksmith arrived at our door and replaced the front door lock so our house was secure.
With regards the replacement car key Molly rang us back within an hour of our original call explaining that their supplier was unable to supply a replacement key in a short timescale and advised us that we could go directly to the main car dealer, arrange for a replacement key and Keycare would reimburse the cost as long as it was below our cover threshold. We visited the main dealership the next morning arranged for a replacement key (would take approx. 10 days to arrive) and in the meantime the spare key was immediately recoded ensuring the stolen key could not be used to start the car in the meantime.
When the replacement key arrived the main dealer recoded the spare and new key with the car. We then emailed the invoice and a copy of the V5C to Keycare and the following day received an email advising us the claim had been settled and we would be reimbursed with the cost of the replacement car key and recoding process directly to our back in the next 5 working days.
Having keys stolen is stressful, however, the speed, efficiency of the Keycare process was excellent and gave us peace of mind within hours of the event. All follow up communications were clear and concise. Because of the we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Keycare cover to all our family and friends.

This company is a bunch of time wasters and pisstakers they don’t understand customer’s situations and don’t help customers in difficult situations I would not advise anyone to purchase this policy why waist a dime whith these timewasters , I don’t mean to be stereotypical but. Not being of English decent probably plays a factor in the amount of help you receive , ( it’s just £2,3 pound a month but would not advise anyone on this company ,they are better company’s out there .

Horrendous. They ruined my origional Vauxhall key, the AA 'technician' totally lied, and they sided with him! Even though my Dashcam proves otherwise. Then, I find out, they are owned by the AA... All makes sense. Basically, don't bother. They don't care, are rude, break your things and push you off stating it's all down to you to prove otherwise. Even when the origional key worked perfectly before they touched it. Funny that! Also, the AA 'technician' said he programmed the original key, and left the car running with said key!! Total lie. When I tried my Vauxalll key, it just kicked the immobilisor in, deleted from the car. Useless, rude, uncaring, shameful company. Please, please go elsewhere.

Worst company to exist. To think their purpose to support when belongings are lost and considering you PAY for their service, they will do everything in their power to assure you cannot make a claim. You make people jump through loops for the simplest of things.

Staff are also rude and need to training in customer service (Vicky). Will never use them again, absolutely horrific or should I say BEYOND horrific.

I would give 0 stars if could.

Great service! I have had a tag, arranged by the AA, on my keys for over 10 years and when I lost my keys forgot it was there.
Within 20 minutes I received a text asking me to call and, after going through a few security questions, the agent gave me the name and phone number of the finder.
Does exactly as expected, but better!
