If you are looking for a property in Canary Wharf, I would avoid JLL as much as possible. They lost my keys that I brought to them in person. Paige tried to deduct bills from my deposit that I had already paid. There were frequent excuses for why they could not release my deposit and when they finally did, they 'forgot' to tell me they added extra deductions which they did not tell me about. I am extremely unhappy with JLL.

Our property manager, Stefania Schiavon, and her colleagues have always been prompt and helpful! They reply to emails and queries fast and clear, and they solve issues quickly (sending repairmen, replacing or providing reimbursements for objects in the apartment). We've been renting from them for 4 months already and we are very happy with the services and their open communication.

Mwamba Knonde was my property manager at the end of the tenancy. It took months to get my deposit back. The communication was extremely poor. I would e-mail, wait for a week or two then call to get a response "this week everything will be done" then wait again. These steps had to be taken at almost every single step. I don't remember last time I have seen a more unprofessional person

I would think twice before entering into a commercial arrangement with JLL. Thrice, perhaps.

Speaking from personal experience as a tenant who rented an apartment through JLL, I can conclude that JLL have behaved in an unprofessional, unreliable, and untrustworthy manner.

Key problems, among a myriad of problems:

- Communication. Waiting for more than a week for any kind of response is the usual outcome - only to be met with an out of office message or similar when you send a follow-up email. Their email addresses seem like a black hole; inquiries not getting responses or getting partial responses weeks later is what the company seems to pride themselves on.

- Delivery. It took them a month to send me the check-in report and I am yet to receive any feedback regarding inaccuracies in that report. Timelines and deadlines seem to be a joke to JLL.

- Continuity. I have had to provide the same information several times, sometimes to the same individuals, sometimes to new individuals brought into the discussions. There doesn't seem to be any visibility into what has been discussed, promised, and agreed before. There does not seem to be any accountability to deliver on promises given.

- Trustworthiness. Attempts to ignore previous agreements, seemingly in the hope of the tenant having forgotten what had been agreed, are not part of a trustworthy business practice.

- Uselessness. They do not perform well in their role as the proxy between the tenant and the landlord. An answer - when it eventually arrives - is often a shrugging excuse about them not having been able to do something. No accountability. No visible attempts to rectify the situation. Very poor communication.

I do not know whether they can not or do not want to run their business in a respectable way, or whether this is JLL's understanding of a well-run business. I would suggest JLL to run a thorough review of their business practices and perhaps employ some people who understand the nature of business relationships or allow those already in the organisation - if any exist - who know how things should be done to do their jobs properly and support them in doing so.

Rarely have I had to deal with a business that is performing and behaving so poorly.

Avoid these dishonest and duplicitous liars. The staff are deceitful and lie through their teeth. You will not get your deposit back, they make up fabricated reasons to keep it and refuse to provide documents that you have a legal right to see. They need to be investigated by the Property Ombudsman. Will be speaking to the press about JLL and advise others to do the same.

I would like to thank Rico for great help. We had two viewings in total both were arranged quickly and efficiently. Features of rooms were explained in detail and all the questions patiently answered. Once I decided, landlord was contacted, and offer was sent in 24h. However due to personal reasons I couldn’t accept the offer in the end which was a shame. Overall, it was a great experience. Looking forward to working with Rico again.
