We were staying in Banstaple and asked where is the best Fish and Chips....Squires was what they told us. Fantastic, worth the drive. Don't sleep on the Curry....excellent. Clean Friendly Services. A+

Quite simply the best place for fish and chips in that area (and maybe even farther afield but I haven’t explored the entire area)
It’s now a regular haunt either to eat in or grab take away to sit and eat on Saunton Sands!

We had takeaway plaice and chips with curry sauce! Amazing! Plaice cooked to perfection and curry sauce you could tell was freshly made, definitely no powder involved!

One of the best fish & chips I had recently. The chicken nuggets were also an amazing side and cheesecake was just a surprise. It was so nice that over a weekend holiday, went there twice. Staff is very friendly & welcoming and well aware of the items on the menu.

Wow, if you’re near, this is a must. The cod is battered to perfection. The servers felt our sizes were too small and so brought us some extra portions at no extra cost. We also ordered whitebait, they accidentally gave us three portions instead of two. Everything was brilliant, and the prices are also so reasonable.

If you’re wondering what to order, we felt the cod meal, which includes a side and drink. The squid tasted very fresh, so that is also recommended. The curry sauce is also a must, I’m sure the sauce is the same as the sauce used in the fish curry they offer as a main, and it is divine. Go for that too.

All in all, I’d highly recommend 🙂👍🏻

As always, brilliant customer service. Delicious food. Medium wait time. But to be expected when your food is freshly cooked and not sitting in the warm oven. Squires is set in the beautiful seaside town of Braunton. It's definitely worth visiting this fish and chip restaurant, or if you don't have time to sit in the clean restaurant, pop in and grab a takeout. You won't be disappointed.
Pricing is good.
Food Delicious.
Clean.
Friendly staff.
Good customer service.
