This company is a complete disgrace. They avoid to pay their invoices, dodge all communication, and hide behind vague promises that “the MD is dealing with it” — weeks later, still nothing. Total lack of professionalism, accountability, or basic business ethics. If you’re thinking of working with them, don’t. You’ll be chasing ghosts and wasting your time.

The worst group of people you could come by! After several encounters with them, they love to take advantage of single women. Firstly they left a hole in my roof with insulation hanging down and refused to cover it (until a male requested the same outcome) then they just put a piece of wood they found in the skip over it.
They then “fix” the above balconies as all downstairs properties are leaking, to now have worse leaks. (Again this is our problem and they have nothing to do with it) constant excuses for poor work. Non of their work fits building standards. Avoid at all cost. It’s not worth the hastle

Shocking company, shouldn't be operating as a Management company, would be no stars, but not an option! Fortunately we managed to get from under their control, but at a cost! Next step will be going to court to get our funds back. Disgusting how we have been treated. For info Fred Stinson left the company months ago due to DBM's dodgy dealings, not Fred's I might add.

Just wanted to commend Fred on a great job fixing a tricky issue whilst liaising with a leaseholder and a tenant .Fred your a credit to DBM!
Shame you left but don’t blame you, the rest of them are a complete joke and a waste of time

There appears to be quite an influx of positive reviews over the last few months which I find quite unconvincing. Not sure who Fred Stinson is, he seems to be getting a lot of praise of late, but I really wish he was running the show at our property!

DBM are consistently unprofessional, show a lack of care concerning maintenance issues with even the basics not being done eg. communal cleaning, window cleaning. Despite their insistence that cleaners are on site every month, and photographic proof sent to the contrary, they refuse to accept they are providing a poor service. The lift hasn’t worked for nearly 6 weeks with the lift maintenance company citing DBM as the reason for this. H&S issues, they were notified of, had not been dealt with in a timely manner forcing the company to isolate the lift. Fortunately there is no one with a disability living in our property who would be dependent on a functioning lift.

We are continually fobbed off by email, usually sent at 4.50 on a Friday evening (the office shuts for the weekend at 5.00) saying that problems are being ’dealt with’ but problems rarely ever get resolved.

After a long fought battle we are managing to rid ourselves of them completely. If you are having a problem with their ‘management’ get in touch with your freeholder or whoever deals with DBM on their behalf as they will have no idea of how mismanaged your property is. Once we highlighted the problems to ours they were given their notice pretty quickly. Hopefully not all management companies are rogues, I’m sure we’re about to find out.

As some other reviewers have commented, no stars would have been appropriate but there was no option for that.

A very well deserved 5 stars for Devon Block Management overall, but in particular for our specific Housing Manager Fred Stinson. Since becoming our Housing Manager Fred has been totally approachable, inventive and supportive, with a light touch, and has excellent comms and a good sense of humour.. In fact all our contacts with DBM staff have, to date, been positive. Highly recommended.

I would like to thank Fred Stinson for his endeavours in sorting out the flooded lift at Dartmouth Court, Dartmouth which I imagine was not an easy task. He kept us all up to date with emails of the progress which was greatly appreciated. Many thanks to him and his team.

I've been dealing with DBM via Fred, whose service I've always found to be friendly, well-informed and very helpful. Thanks to him, my experience of DBM to date has been absolutely excellent.
