We have a skylight above our dining table & the glass blew & completely shattered, thankfully no one was hurt, but it went everywhere! A local company were outstanding (Worthing glass), came same day to help us. I got on to policy expert & to start with they were fine, logged the claim & arranged the assessment of the skylight & the damaged laptop & table. But following the assessment, they are refusing to cover ANY of the claim. Saying that because the inner glass blew & not the outer glass, we are not covered! I have tried to get a supervisor to call/e-mail me for 10 days, nothing! Now we have a dripping skylight as it only has a single glaze. Even though the policy clearly states they will cover any claim on the building up to £5000. Shocking service! One star is the lowest I can give, but they don’t even deserve that!
The complaints team have finally come back to me today to repeat their stand that they will not cover the claim for the skylight because it cannot be classed as ‘accidental damage’ but they will consider a claim for the table as the glass shattering causing the damage to the table was ‘accidental damage’!! Just feel so let down & mugged off! Beware!!

I can recommend Policy Expert. With so many choices this Company was the best. The girl l spoke to was very thorough explaining my questions and spoke clearly, not fast and didn’t speak over the top of me (like some call centres) I felt it was a pleasure to be understood. Can't insure my new car - no details provided why- so I have to pay cancellation fee.... I have to pay for them not being able to insure my new car.... WTF, is that's how you earn money? you cancel my policy because you can provide insure for the vehicle and I end up paying. Amazing. Joke not a insurer.

So far so good! The price was very competitive for my home insurance and the application process was easy, very user friendly. My current insurer has tripled my premium so to find an insurer that is still able to offer a competitive price whilst maintaining a gold standard policy knowing I will be covered adequately is great. All was well until they phoned me to do a validation call. Because of a non fault accident they wanted to charge me £67 on a policy that hadn’t started yet. When I refused and requested a refund they wanted me to pay a £30 cancellation fee. Had to pursue a full refund through my credit card company due to misrepresentation at point of sale.

it was a very easy process to contact and accept their quote. It seems good value but if we have to make a claim and I hope we don't have too let's hope things are done quickly and satisfactory.

Very easy to navigate website. Extensive policy with more on offer than competitors. Just £40 extra for gold policy which was still £50 cheaper than renewal quote. High rating on Defacto which I tend to rely on. Would recommend
