Team of really helpful people. John Baldwin is excellent at sorting financial needs. Dawn, Janet & Teresa have all been really helpful with other banking stuff. I had a frustrating experience at this bank branch. I visited yesterday to deposit a check that was in my personal name, and I also mentioned I have a business account. I specifically asked the staff member how I should deposit the check, and she told me to deposit it into my business account. I followed her advice, but the deposit was rejected because the check was not made out to my business — it was clearly in my name.

As a result, I had to return today and redo the entire process to deposit it into my personal account, which should have been done from the start. This caused an unnecessary waste of time and effort.

The issue here is not the system — it’s the lack of proper knowledge from the staff. They should be trained to understand the difference between business and personal deposits, especially when the name on the check clearly matters.

I hope this feedback helps improve training and customer service at this branch.

Best experience of any HSBC branch in UK.

We have had issues with our account for quite a while. Since we are not living in the UK anymore, it is quite a hassle for us to actually visit a branch. When we finally arranged to visit the branch in Hayes in January, it was such a disaster I felt compelled to call the HSBC hotline to complain.

The Weybridge branch was a completely opposite experience. We arrived the day before Good Friday with no appointment because we basically gave up on following up on the issue. Instead we only asked to swap some old notes. The lady at the counter recognised our problem and offered to have the manager help us personally. After only a few minutes, we were greeted with the very friendly and helpful manager who understood our problem completely and had our problem resolved in minutes - the same problem no other HSBC contact could solve for almost a year, all the hotline calls or even fancier and bigger branches. Kudo to Mr. Renz David.

Delighted to still find such branch with qualified and motivated employees serving the real customer needs.

Got redirected In-branch to deal with a Pension trust, which isn't usually done in branch but the staff were very helpful and accommodating of a rather odd situation. Offered some nice advise on the side and saw branch staff volunteering to help those in a long line deal with their transactions on the machines in the branch.
