I visited the shop for the first time a few weeks ago and it's absolutely amazing! The selection of fossils and crystals is really spectacular. I bought my boyfriend a Trilobite for Christmas that I saw on the website and it came today, it's unreal and I know he's going to love it. Thanks so much

If you’re a fossil fanatic, Charmouth Fossils is your treasure trove on the Jurassic Coast. Spanning 95 miles of Dorset and East Devon, this stretch of coastline boasts 185 million years of Earth’s history. Thanks to cliff erosion, the beaches are a hotspot for finding incredible fossils like ichthyosaurs, giant marine reptiles, dinosaur bones, intricate crinoids, and ammonites.

Tony Gill, the proprietor, turned his hobby into a profession after 25 years of collecting. Nestled in the charming coastal village of Charmouth, right below the Heritage Coast Centre, his shop is a fossil hunter's paradise. With a vast selection of fossils, crystals, gemstones, carvings, and other collectibles, there’s something for every enthusiast. You can even hire fossiling hammers for your beachcombing adventures, and if you strike gold, Tony will prepare your find for you.

I walked away with a few megalodon teeth, shark teeth in stone, some ammonites, and a handful of mineral rocks. All for just £60—a steal compared to what they'd cost elsewhere! Charmouth Fossils is a gem for anyone looking to take a piece of ancient history home.

I would highly recommend going here. After visiting nearly all shops in Lime Regis I was put off by the high prices. But then I discovered Charmouth Fossils and were astonishing by the affordable prices for the exact same thing. This was a very pleasant experience with a kind shop owner who has a wide variety of options of fossils, bones and jems. Would definitely come back again

I'm not gonna lie, I don't bother wasting my time fossil hunting anymore here and as a palaeontologist that teaches kids I always come in here to buy a few bits for our workshops for schools and museums. Great place to buy a coupe of cheap fossils to put in your pocket if your off on a fossil hunt and need an inspiring fossil to keep the kids interested. Prices are decent enough to reward the kids or if your like me...treat myself!
