The Cheddar Gorge walk was an incredible experience! It was a challenging hike, especially the climb, but the views from the top were absolutely worth it. Watching the sunset from up there was unforgettable. It's a bit scary getting close to the edge, but the view is amazing! The trek down was also good, and there's plenty of street parking available. Highly recommend it.

Great walk around the gorge with incredible views.

The path has smooth granite with jaggy edges in some places so take care. Other than that very straightforward.

Breathtaking views! The whole hike was thrilling and so much variety in landscapes and greenery. The view at the top was so worth it.

As an inexperienced hiker, it was doable with lots of rest in between. I would say this was a moderate hiking trail. Took us about 2.5 hours with a lunch break in the middle to complete the whole loop.

Would definitely recommend this for the amateur outdoorsy individual. Lots of steps so not very knee friendly.

A beautiful walk with dramatic views of the cliffs and great views of the nearby town of Cheddar. The walk follows on from Jacob's Ladder, which is worth seeing and is very rocky, so bring walking boots.

This was such a lovely walk above the gorge with spectacular views. It took us about 2-3 hours to do the whole loop. There were plenty of signs to help us find our way. Some of the terrain was uneven and rocky so I’d recommend wearing a good pair of shoes or walking boots. It could get a bit slippery if it were to rain.

Excellent cliff top path with stunning views and a look out tower. The paths are quite steep and uneven so sensible footwear and a reasonable level of fitness is helpful. If you’re lucky you may also see the wild goats! 🐐

Absolutely stunning! This has been the biggest highlight of my holiday so far. Ahead of the gorge & caves you’ll find some walk paths on either sides of the gorge that take you through a stunning hike. Definitely be prepared for footwear, there can be some difficult terrain with uneven rocks and steep inclines. Thankfully, we arrived on a sunny day but I can only assume that there would be some slippery paths if it were to rain. This is not a walk for the physically impaired, with no wheelchair accessibility whatsoever.

The entire walk will take you around 2-3 hours (fitness depending) with no toilets or amenities until you arrive back at Cheddar. We travelled from the top of the road of Cheddar Gorge that eventually lead us back down to the village. The scenery is absolutely phenomenal, with sprawling nature and mountain goats about (so definitely stop often to enjoy all the views). This is such a beautiful walk to view the village and scenery from a distance, I couldn’t recommend this enough! 🐐
