Customer service, I beg you. I visited unaware it wasn’t a full service branch so when I asked for certain services they would tell me they don’t offer it there which is mildly frustrating given that it’s quite a walk and I’m not fully able to walk well at the moment, but it’s completely understandable. The way the staff at the bank handled it was almost as if I had asked them in the rudest way possible. “No, we don’t offer it in any way. Do you understand” and behaving as I had inconvenienced them as if I came after closing times, when I came an hour before closing on multiple occasions. Seriously, it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve visited but having my activated new card lost mid delivery was the cherry on top. It may not be this branch’s fault, but my experience with HSBC has been possibly the WORST experience I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing and this branch heavily contributed to that.

The only good thing to come out of this branch was Ty, definitely the friendliest staff I’ve spoken to in the entirety of London. He made my sour interactions with this branch just a little less unbearable. Without him, I honestly might give the lowest rating possible. Shoutout to Ty.

The Helpdesk person, Elina, is the rudest member of staff ever, she greeted me to say, “What do you want to do? She was so abrupt that I just walked away.” I am a Premier customer too.

If you read my other reviews, I barely complain. However, the customer service here needs lots of improvement. I understand that at the front desk they give you guidance, but they can't spot you an assessment just by a brief talk. After insisting, the lady said she will transfer me to an agent. I waited for 35-40 minutes at 1 PM in the morning... just two people waiting. While waiting, I just heard whispering about how I won't be able to get an account. Each person's profile and situation are unique and can't be placed all in the same box. Simply disrespectful, and not enough knowledge of HSBC current account products.

If the "System" rejects your bank account application there is nothing anybody can do.
I spoke to 3 different bank clerks and 2 different managers, but the "System" is absolute and cannot be contested in any way shape or form.
I will not be banking with HSBC ever.

Micheal the apparent Manager, degraded my Irish passport , by refusing to accept it as I’d. the Passport I used clearly say passport on the front of it, and has multiple security features, scan bars, photo, name, dob date of issue and off course my passport number ye he decided that this Passport was to be refused as not being a valid for of Id. Unfortunately he made me leave the bank without sorting out my query. He smirked while refusing me. I have used my passport card multiple times to regain access to my online banking, and on your website it states that My passport Card is a valid form of Id. Blatant racism and separatism from the northern Irish Manager. It’s Illegal for companies to refuse government issues and accepted identification in Britain and via versa. Your managers personal/made up policy is not above the laws of Britain nor Ireland. I have attached a photo of my Eire passport with personal details lined out.

I sincerely thank Serhan for his Guidance in helping me set up my first accounts at HSBC, his patience and thorough explanations helped me to understand the meaning of my first steps with HSBC, from debit cards to credit cards it was all highly valued.

His approach from introductions throughout remained welcoming, professional, and genuine Leaving me at ease. Though it was quick it was not rushed and I couldn't have asked for better customer service (Hoping there's a promotion in the works).
