Advertised as open however sign on the door saying they’re shut for lunch. Only to find the two ladies are parked out front watching people queuing up outside. Questioned them as to when they’re back open and they said 2 o’clock which means they’ll be shut for a further 30 mins. If this is the case, opening times should be altered!

I regularly drop off large prepaid parcels at the counter at this post office and they are always handled well with due care by the counter staff, can't fault them great service.👍

Got a parcel redirected to pick up at the post office as it was more convenient. Went to pick it up, and it seems it was an inconvenience for the counter staff to look for it. Well they couldn't find it as they rejected it as it was supposedly too big,(it was a medium size parcel). Luckily the Royal mail depot took it back and I had to pick it up from there a few days later. Royal mail depot said they shouldn't be rejecting parcels as it was part of the contract/agreement. Basically Abbey street post office couldn't be bothered. Avoid where possible using this post office. Have used them a few times and everytime I have been served by miserable staff. If you don't want to be there, find a new job.

Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful went in to get £10 in coins got told there is a £ 1.50 charge by the Asian guy on the till absolutely disgusting. It's illigal to do that. Will be putting a complain in.

Brought in a pre paid parcel, waited for 10 minutes in the queue, to be told that they wouldn't accept the parcel as it was too heavy. The maximum weight is 30kg and this parcel was 26. I could tell with the look on his bespectacled face that he just didn't want to deal with having to use his diminutive muscles. All in all a disappointing experience which had me going to another post office. Although on a plus note I'll take great pleasure in handing him my 12kg parcels, which he can't refuse! See you tomorrow!

Just received a letter on the 26th October was dated the 17th October for a hospital appointment which I have now missed and probably be expected to pay a fine ! This service is not good enough

Never a great experience using this post office - I only go if I absolutely have to. Like many others have said, the staff come across as very miserable and act like they just don't want to be there, it really doesn't make for a pleasant visit.
