Long story short - our buyers were waiting for their broker to come back with a good offer. After 7 long weeks of delays (stretching things out endlessly, like gum!), their broker finally returned with the news, "Sorry, I can only secure 80% of what you need!"
This was a disaster. Normally, reapplying with a different broker wouldn’t be an issue, but this was right at the time when the Bank of England was rapidly raising the base rate. If our buyers had waited another month, they would have ended up with a very expensive mortgage.

ActNow Mortgages Ltd stepped in and saved the day. They secured a good mortgage for our buyers just 2 days before the next base rate increase and, in turn, this helped us secure our new home.
It took them just one week of working in 'emergency mode' to get everything sorted!
