What can I say about Ian Hewett - The Bearded Mortgage Broker? That he’s a bloody amazing mortgage broker, that’s what! As first time buyers he has held our hands throughout the whole process from start to finish. No job was too big or too small and he was always just a phone call or message away and so quick to get back to us. Ian even renegotiated our mortgage TWICE whilst we were waiting for all the legal bits to go through - without us even knowing or asking - and now our mortgage repayments are £150 less than when the application was first approved! An absolute star, I couldn’t recommend him enough, really took the stress out of it all for us. Top class.

We used Ian (The bearded mortgage broker) through AIMS for both our life insurance policy and mortgage (1st time buyers), and he was exceptional! Nothing was too much trouble, and he was always at the end of the phone or email to answer our questions (which came from utter naivety as 1st time buyers), and went above and beyond to help us find contractors and other professionals to help our purchase move along swiftly. Our life insurance policy was rather complex due to my husbands medical history, but it didn't phase Ian and he managed to scope us out 2 fantastic policies which meet our needs, despite A LOT of back and forth with various medical reports and requests for further information. We also liked to keep him on his toes with a slightly complicated mortgage as I was on maternity leave, but even that didn't phase him, and our mortgage application was so thorough and watertight that the lenders approved in less than a week, despite the complicating factors! I do not normally review products or services but I feel incredibly strongly that Ian 'The Bearded Broker' is recognised for the impeccable service he delivered and his commitment to my wife and I while also keeping our interests as his number one priority.
Ian, an extremely friendly and approachable chap was whole heartedly committed to securing my wife and I the best possible mortgage deal once we took the decision to move house. Ian communicated fantastically well throughout, he was always on hand to guide us and answer any questions while successfully overcoming any complications (generally as a result of covid). A service which is hard to come by these days.
We were so impressed with Ian 'The Bearded Broker' that we also asked him to arrange our life insurances. Again Ian delivered the same exceptional service.
I am a complicated case due to underlying health conditions but Ian's commitment and determination secured me a remarkable policy and also arranged my less complicated wife's policy. I cannot express how thorough Ian was, he explored multiple insurance options, spent hours of his time ensuring all avenues were exhausted and again successfully securing us both amazing deals. Ian also ensured we fully understood the choices available to us.
