I usually come here to drop off bfpo parcels for my husband. The lovely lady offered me couple of custom forms to fill up at home for my convenience, small act but made my day! Writing this as i stand outside of the store, thank you very much!!

Man behind counter was very rude telling me no dogs allowed.
Dogs are allowed in cafés in town.
Why are dogs not allowed in the Post Office? Manager please explain!
I'm not tying my dog up outside with the possibility of it being stolen
I said I'd take my business elsewhere 🙄

the rule only applies to directly managed Post Offices, is yours directly managed? and it's because historically postmen have been bitten whilst delivering letters. 🤔
Well you don't see any postmen in a Post office so it's nonsense! 🙄

I’m slightly confused by some of these negative comments. I have had quite the opposite experience when I go in. They are always friendly and polite. Yes there maybe a bit of a wait but sadly with post offices closing in other places that is going to happen. Many times I’ve been waiting and some customers are extremely impatient and extremely rude. I suspect this is a case of treat others how you wish to be treated. Thankyou to all the staff there who do their best to help people.

Amesbury post office the worst experience ever! Brought euros through post office app. The man behind the counter was very abrupt and impatient ,after rejoining the que to ask if he would break down the 100 and 50 euro note into small nominations his anwer was " no i don't have any that's why I gave you what I did." OUT AND OUT RUDE. there was quite clearly smaller notes bank wrapped in the draw .

Incredibly rude!!! I was told by DVLA to follow a certain process with regards to taxing my vehicle. The lady in the post office told me I was wrong and had to do the exact opposite to what the DVLA briefed me. She was incredibly rude and even "shushed" me when I was talking.

Needless to say I left without using their service and drove to Tidworth where the service was 100% improvement. They confirmed that the process the DVLA told me to follow was correct and they sorted my issue with no issue and a smile.

This isn't the first time this post office in Amesbury has provided me with incorrect information.

I will never use this post office and happy to drive further to not feeling like I'm a hinderence!!

I requested my delivery to go to the post office Amesbury.
Royal Mail didn't do that and sent it to there delivery office instead.
When I went to pick my parcel up as per the delivery email (Amesbury post office) the owner, who, was very smug, said, nothing to do with us, go to the DO.
That's great, when they are open.
Royal Mail then said to me on a phone call, my delivery was with the post office.
So, here we go with musical post office and Royal Mail again. I'll bet i don't win.
UPDATE: collected my parcel from the Amesbury DO. Regarding the response from the post office. You stopped accepting parcels that day and only accepted parcels addressed to post office NOT Royal Mail, so that is the reason my parcel went to the DO.

I regularly use this post office and have no problems, with helpful and friendly staff. I 'll probably get slated for saying it but I suspect some of the negative reviews could well be down to the reviewers own attitude, seems to be a lot of impatient and angry people around these days.
Yes, sometimes you have to queue for a while but it's no different to other shops and post offices.

Staff always good and treat you with respect. Both the bloke and lady behind the counter are always welcoming and have good ethics and morals, they gave good options for the Mail which I had to post overseas in cost effective way! I would say that I have never seen such an efficient post office service staff for a long time and would always prefer to come to this post office for any posting any parcels both in UK and overseas!
