Women at the self checkout absolutely hate their job so take it out on the customers. If someone was to drop dead in that self checkout area they’d either ignore them or gossip about them, snarling anyone who tried to get their attention.

Go the Tesco up the road.

This happened at express diner cafe huyton Sunday 20/10/2024 12.40ish pm. We went in Sunday for some quick lunch, me and my mum was left at the till for 10 minutes waiting to be served,there was no que , a nice young lady asked a older lady with a fringe and clamp ,in the back could she to serve us, as she was having issues with the drinks machine. The Lady in the back who had seen us waiting the whole time continued to fold bags , then she checked on chips, she did this a few times , then she went in and out of a few cupboards. We could see everything she was doing! then she walked over and said to us without a hi or smile "what do you want" I was a little shocked at this but I asked for 2 teas please and she said "no tea" and glared at me and mum. Her customer servive and attitude was awful. where was this staffs manners or apology at the wait. She could have given us alternative drinks options but she never. It was like we was a burden to her and not a paying customer. We ended leaving due to her attitude towards us. Its absolutely disgusting customer service and behaviour from the staff and asda/express diner cafe as they are allowing this...Ive reported this staff member to head office. She 100% needs urgent customer service trainings. You dont speak to anyone in this manner especially not a customer. Leaving anyone waiting that long in line is unprofessional , especially when they wasnt busy, but am heavily pregnant. This staff member lacked care and compassion and so did the express diner cafe. I'd never go here again , still to the cafes in huyton village where you get treated well.

As someone who works in a school there is never enough staff on the tills. Queues galore and no service to see that more tills need to be on. Too much focus on self serve and not on someone to help on the till.

It is truly shameful that you allow yourselves to humiliate people based on their occupation. The fact that you and your staff feel entitled to search the bags of delivery drivers and then have the audacity to call it "store policy" is appalling. Your behavior is a blatant example of racial and class discrimination.

I am deeply disheartened to live in a world where respect and equality are nothing more than empty slogans, and where my job forces me to visit places like this and endure such disgraceful treatment.

first of all , me and my friend got kicked out for nothing we were literally just looking at this hello kitty plushie they had and 2 workers came over and said "er girls , this is not a playground so get out" so me and my friend were like "can we pay for our stuff" and they told us to get out? not even a please. the staff are EXTREMELY rude , like what do you mean you dont want us to buy our things , were literally giving you money? also why do you need a whole isle for cream very suspicious. also shoutout to these 2 emos who we kinda made friends with , you guys were epic. but the workers need to chillax a bit.

Large Asda superstore which is open till late but not a 24 hour store. Well laid out spacious store. Has a large spacious car park, has cash points for convenience. Inside all the usual Asda grocery stuff you need from fresh fruits and vegetables, n confectionary, drinks, bakery amongst other things. Has self checkout section as well as plenty of tills. Friendly staff able to help you out when needed. Pleasant shopping experience with nice modern store.

Since this store abandoned the upstairs checkout, you have to take clothing downstairs to pay and as others have said trying to pay at the self checkout with items of clothing scanning them and struggling to fold them and put them into your shopping bags isn’t easy, before the machine says it doesn’t recognise the item, don’t know who came up with this idea but I bet they haven’t tried to buy anything in this store, what about more tills open and some decent staff to help customers.

I'm sick to death of going in this store and picking up items that are listed at one price but at the till come up at another price. This isn't a one off its nearly everytime i shop here for OVER A YEAR. I've had enough i'll be reporting you to trading standards.
