My husband went into the home in November 2024 with lung problems which ment he was on oxygen 24/7. The manager said this was something the home could cope with. The nursing staff did not seem to have any experience with oxygen concentrators or NIV machines. My husbands oxygen became detached one day and he was left with no oxygen for 7 minutes and unable to breath, this was despite buzzing for help and shouting for help. The excuse was they were busy serving meals. They did apologise when I complained and said they would respond straight away in the future. Unfortunately my husband was only in the home 10 days before he passed he was seen the day before he died by the doctor but no one picked up on how poorly he was. He passed away in the early hours of the next morning and I was informed at 3am by phone that he had already died, I therefore believe no one checked on him in the night. They heard his machine bleeping went in and he was dying but no one called me until he had passed. The last CQC report in 2022 says responsive outstanding I beg to differ.

My Husband Robert was resident for nursing care for the past two years
He was cared for with compassion and treated with dignity the whole time.. even at the end they helped Robert and were there for me.
All the staff from Carers to Nurses to Admin Staff deserve a medal.

My Mum was in Aylesham court only a short time before she passed but what wonderful care she was given.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough for looking after her in her last days.
They kept is updated on everything that was happening and we were included in all decisions made.
Thank you all for making this sad time a little easier

Of all the 5 care homes I’ve been involved with I can wholeheartedly say that the staff at Aylesham Court, the management, the care and kindness are second to none. You have simply been brilliant. I was especially taken by the sense of family. Thank you 🙏
