My initial experience with them was not the most positive so far.
They dont even read the documents and send you silly questions and the over the phone customer service is rude.

In terms of email communication, that was pretty good, so I will give them a 3 stars for now.

As with any service or product, it is always worth reading and reviewing widely. TrustPilot give what I believe to be the most accurate review in line with my own experiences. It is a shame, because Balens seem genuinely far more personable that most insurers, it is a shame they are not on hand when needed .
I would be hesitant to rely upon them - it pains me as what little correspondence I have had with them over the email and phone has been unfailingly positive and would put other insurance providers to shame .

The service is let down by the poor return email, response and update rate.

Those of you who have had positive experiences, we would dearly love to experience the same good service you have been. Unfortunately it has not been the case this end.

I was recommended Balens by a number of therapists who use them happily. I have to say its early days yet. All of their correspondence is professional I just wish the response was quicker. Waiting 3 to 5 days for a response each time is long. The number doesn't always work. I appreciate people keep saying Ok well it's because of covid but come on, none of us are furloughed now... We are either at home or in the office working. So please companies stop using this excuse, put your phone lines back up and answer your emails quicker. Apart from that sticking with them because they are reputable and recommended by others.
