Do not use this bank. I saw staff violating confidentiality, data protection, and information assurance by staff giving customers someone else's savings book. I was asked to sign a form with someone else's personal details on the back. I took a photo and will be making a complaint to the financial ombudsman. I had an appointment at 2.30 pm. When I arrived the member of staff decided to go on a late lunch and was over half an hour late. Everything was done at snail pace. This bank is not compliant with British standards. Beware this is a high risk bank of potential fraud.

Appalling service, glad my mum closing account. They definitely don't follow UK regulations and do as they please and charge for everything and anything

If I could, I would give 0 star. I have just been on a call where the gentleman advised that I cannot open a bank account. He was very rude and he insisting that he CANNOT open a current account for me.. which is quite bold statement from a BANK. Do not even bother calling them, absolutely useless.

Just on the phone to them. I asked to transfer the a sum from one of BOI Branches but they want me to open an account. Every step is a manual process.They do not provide this facility at all. I do not mind doing it.
A safety deposit box - they are reluctant to open one for me ( as live two hrs away). They do not want anybody with this profile. And quite condescending to potential new customer who is a female.

Extremely archaic service, everything must be in paper form and triplicate…BoI staff needs to take some lessons from other Major UK based banks on computerised processing and customer services a MUST!! Improve attitude to their customers

Closing my account down!

After years of banking this account will be closed down. I will be taking then to the financial ombudsman after they lost a cheque of mine that was deposited in my account. The cashier hasn't attached that cheque to my account, but yet it has been taken from my account! In over to years of my banking life I have never experienced such a ridiculous thing! I a have been sent round in circles for the last month! Embarrassing and a disgrace. Avoid this bank at all costs. they will rob you of your money!

It is really encouraging to bank with Bank Of India when you have Brnach Manager like Mr. MAHAPATRA . He is very professional and provides an efficient service. His knowledge on all their products scores top marks and I cannot thank him enough! Leicester Branch has lots of Changes after his joining.
