Excellent advice. I spoke to adviser Paul Lawson-Tyers about moving a defined benefits pension scheme from the UK to New Zealand, and he was thorough, straight-up and very knowledgeable. He scheduled a video call at a time that suited us both, and explained the more complex issues to consider in layman's terms. He followed that up with a comprehensive report in a timely fashion, and I would recommend him to anyone.

I had a very poor experience with bdhSterling. They did not listen to my needs, provided incredibly basic and biased advice, then produced a useless report that had 0 value in it (with no confirmation that I wanted this report in writing).

When I refused to pay, the advisor I was dealing with quit (shows how it's probably not great to work there, as well as not great being a client of theirs) so I had no continuity of service.

They then had the audacity (and poor client service approach) to send me a legal letter demanding payment for a useless 1450GBP report from an advisor who no longer worked there, with no offer of follow on value or consultation for this report fee. A properly run organization focused on long term partnering for value would have offered a follow up consult to understand if there's still value they can bring me from my already poor experience - but no sight of this!

Be careful of bogus and very generic "financial advice" from this firm - they are crooks. bdhTax does a good job, but stay well away from bdhSterling!
