Fabulous place! Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Staff were super friendly even when I locked myself out of the room twice. Rooms were beautiful. We stayed there with 3 other couples and every room was unique and tastefully done. The attention to detail really gave this place the edge - the sloe gin in the room with the little note and the whiskey in the drawing room. The breakfast in the morning was top notch quality aswell! Really excellent value for money aswell. Am looking for an excuse to come back as we were visiting for a friend’s birthday. Thankyou to all the staff there. Living in the Cotswolds, we know our nice pubs and this is up there with the best! Just wish we lived closer to have it as our local ☺️

The rooms are amazing and at 400 years old you feel the history. High quality fixtures and fittings throughout along with complimentary bottles of whisky and gin and awesome smelling bathroom toiletries. Breakfast was spot on, we didn't eat at the restaurant for an evening meal. Limited menu and a bit pricey I thought.

Fantastic overnight stay, lovely bedroom with roll top bath. Complementary slo gin in the room and whiskey in the resident's lounge. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb, topped with amazing service. We slept well in a very comfortable bed and a perfectly cooked breakfast to finish our stay. I highly recommend it. Thank you to all the staff for all your hard work. It was greatly appreciated ……?

Went here for dinner with friends. However the food was very expensive for what you got - for example £10 for 2 very small pasties! Food portions were very small for the amount you pay. Service was very slow and didn't really see them unless one of us walked to get them. For 4 people it was well over £120. I also thought it was very cheeky (considering how expensive the food is) to then add a service charge on top. There is very very limited parking (3/4 bays near pub). I wouldn't be going here again unfortunately. I expect visiting for drinks it's ok but again expensive (at £7 for a pint).

Fantastic pub, hotel and restaurant, located in the middle of the village.
During our stay last weekend, we were made to feel welcome and the village locals that we meet in the bar were friendly and great company.
The staff were super helpful and we had an enjoyable break.

Had lunch there Saturday January 18 and, frankly, it was disappointing. Chose crab linguine and they must have run out of crab as there was none to be seen. It would have been better to advise not available, especially as £21. I didn't complain as I was a guest of my brother and his daughter, but this was a big fail

We had an unexpected stopover here, and what a delight! Very friendly and helpful on the telephone to arrange a room for the night. The room was lovely - very spacious and full of little touches (sloe gin!). We had a meal in the restaurant and that was lovely, would definitely recommend to stay here.

The restaurant has been updated and looks lovely. Now they need to update the chef. All the fish was overcooked, as were the lentils and presentation leaved something to be desired. This restaurant is so hit and miss.
