Absolute Con-men who are so crooked that they write there own fake positive reviews.

We get charged for maintenance for play equipment that doesn't exist. We get charged for tree maintenance for tree stumps because they didn't take care of the trees. They charge us to pick up litter that is never done. They refuse to show us invoices from contractors because they haven't paid any contractors and kept there greedy hands on the money.

The best thing is check out the fake 5 star reviews below, and see how they all follow a certain trend of naming their account managers.

I am absolutely appalled with the service ! Anybody that has to deal with them will know how incompetent it is! Since the First Port took on from Bleimheims I haven’t had any luck in getting through to maintenance department ! Our head office is in Towquay and when it was business previously Blenheim they will always be an agent answering your problems queries and urgent matters ! Now we have problem with window we pay to be cleaned and we only had once cleaned ! Also we pay extra services to them for our bin store as it’s way too small we have an arrangements for the bins rubbish colour and recycling colour to be collected every week and this has been ongoing ! However this has now not been happening ! I have called them 30 times on option 4 left five messages nobody called and nobody is answering for weeks now ! If I press option 1 or 2 they answering immidiately when the money is concern but the maintenance they will not answer it and I leave messages nobody absolutely nobody is calling back ! It’s disquisting ! The bins are smelling in apartments Omaha drive Exeyer EX2 7AY snd the bin stopper is infested with mice it needs completely strong clean ! I just don’t know where to go from here so we are considering counselling our direct debit and let them take us to the court to fight and show them how badly our apartments and bin store are run by this incompetent first port! When I press option 2 or 3 agents from London are answering and do not know about our Torquay office ! Useless and rude ! This has to stop and it’s just not acceptable! Our carpets have to cleaned and we haven’t had carpets nor hallway painted for 13 years yet the contract states that they ought to be painted ever and carpets changed every 8 years ! Our manager is hard to get hold off however he is the only kind person that you could speak once you manage to talk to him! He is kind man and he is a manager of our Omaha Drive in Exeter EX2 7AY area!

This company has been taken over by First Port and actually have robbed an entire estae of the funds as per convinent and gomne bangrupt. Now theyy think its fair to enforce payment on the house owners again to go bankrupt. this requires some reassurances.

Stay clear!
- Poor communication.
- Little knowledge of the property.
- Charge for work and they don’t book contractors.
- Try to charge for things that you aren’t liable for.
- Essential work in fire inspection report not carried out, only got the ball rolling when continuously asking for it to be done. Still not actually booked contractors yet.
- Try charging you for work but don’t explain what they are for.

Several complaints made and the service remains awful. The level of customer service is appalling. Complaints are dealt with in a very condescending and a blame the customer way. Had the same complaint last year, which they promised to resolve. Same issue this year and I get a phone from a rude young girl essentially blaming me. From what I can work out they charge an extreme amount of money for their “services”, which seem to be non existent and do very little in the way of work or support. We are tied into this company because of Cavanna, which I am extremely disappointed about. Would give zero stars if I could. Developers should avoid this scam company.

This review is about the Paignton office, after dealing with them for 18 years, during which I have been the Chairman of our property management company. We appointed them as TMS in May 2004 (taken over by Blenheims in 2012) and after such a long relationship, it was regrettable that we decided to terminate our Agreement with them in May 2022.

As others have mentioned, service quality largely hinges on who you interface with. For many years we had two good Property Managers (PMs) but were then allocated a PM who ignored emails and had negative value; eventually we refused to deal with her.

We were then allocated another PM, who left after 6 months, then another who left, then another who left, then another – who works part time and is unacceptably slow to respond and relatively inexperienced. Our part-time PM was allocated an assistant, who left, then another who left, then another who we weren’t initially told about, and we never heard from.

So, continuity, rapport, and speed of service all gradually declined. Frustratingly, it became like dealing with a faceless, unresponsive, institution. The sad thing is that they believe they provided an excellent service; we disagree.

Four years ago we would probably have rated Blenheims 4 stars, but our low rating now reflects our recent experience and current mood. This review has been written in the week after handover to our new managing agent, and we’re in dispute about their unjustified and arbitrary retention of our funds. Amongst other issues, such as some unpaid supplier invoices remaining at handover, Blenheims have also mislaid our Company Register and Seal.

On a more positive note, Blenheims have always been flexible in recognising our ‘hands on’ management approach and we have allegedly enjoyed discounted fees as a result. Also, some of the senior staff we know are extremely knowledgeable and experienced in traditional property management, disputes and legal affairs. With the backing and resources of FirstPort there is probably now unrivalled expertise anywhere else. This may be an important consideration for a large complex property with issues, who are able to afford higher fees.

However, our property is small, recently built, uncontentious or problematic in any way to date. All we have ever required is a good working relationship and speedy efficient administration and unfortunately both deteriorated to an untenable level, with little hope of improvement.

Consequently, we saw no prospect of a harmonious or satisfactory ongoing partnership with Blenheims, so reluctantly decided to let them go. Our perception is that they were not overly concerned about losing of our small amount of business.

Addendum 16th July 2022.
We made a formal complaint about the ludicrously large amount retained by Blenheims at handover to meet "ongoing commitments" i.e. bills remaining to be paid, and their intention to retain it for the maximum allowed period of 3 months. After we threatened to complain to the Property Ombudsman they conceded that the amount retained was "higher than in fact required" and returned the whole balance to us within 3 days!

If you're looking at reviews for this management company, please please please take heed of the many negative reviews here. My estate's management was extremely poor, owing to over-charges, lack of clear visibility of expenditure of funds, to poor communication from top to bottom. We terminated our agreement with this company in 2022, and have since found a fantastic management company to take over things. The handover from Blenheims was non-existent to say the least! Just save yourself higher costs and frustration, and find a different management company for your needs.
