Was suprised and delighted how easy it was in obtaining cover for my mobility scooter.
Literally took only a few minutes to complete the application, receive a quote and confirm acceptance.
Receive emails within 2 minutes with friendly advice and welcoming message.
This morning all documents, policy etc. forwarded.

Whilst polite on the phone the person I spoke to whilst polite was either ignorant of the law or else mis-represented company policy as law. Either not being good. She informed me that the scooter I was considering would be illegal as 8mph legal max. Basically asking for quote for a 15mph scooter - contrary to popular "barrack room lawyers" perfectly legal in UK as long as all conditions are met (number plates, insurance etc.)
This is straight from Guv.UK website
To drive on the road, your vehicle must be a powered wheelchair or mobility scooter in ‘class 3’ or not in a class.
It must have:
a maximum speed of at least 8mph - (note AT LEAST)
If your mobility scooter or powered wheelchair’s maximum speed is over 15mph - in other words as long as it is not OVER 15mph.
Understand companies right to decline but naughty to tell fibs about why.

This is the third year that I have dealt with Blue Badge Mobility Insurance and not had any problems until now. I received my renewal with 3 PDF files to download and renewed online. However, this did not include a copy of the full certificate / schedule with details of serial numbers and dates etc which I have had for the last 2 years. Having spoken to a young lady in customer services, she informed me that was included with the original 3 PDF's but would send out a copy the following week. I attempted to explain that the emails I had received were partially corrupted and did not contain the said schedule but she plainly was not interested and I found her attitude and manner was totally uncalled for.
