all members of staff were really helpful and friendly on both times i visited (Sat morning & Sun afternoon). the optician (Zack) was the best i’ve had and listened to all of my concerns kindly and patiently whilst doing my general check up. the two ladies (Amie and June) on the counter were fantastic and thorough at helping me choose my frames and making sure they fit me well, as well as helping me with my insurance claim. everyone went above and beyond and i would recommend them to everyone.

I gave 5 stars for 2 reasons and 4.9 stars was to the friendly staff who made you feel like they are there to help you and are not doing it just because it's a job. They all seemed super knowledgeable about what they were doing and tailored their approach to offering me the right choice regardless to cost or up selling. The other 0.1 Star was for the equipment used for a basic eye test. Who knew Boots employed R2D2 to do eye tests! Thank you everyone at Newton Abbot branch. No pun intended but looking forward to my getting my first pair of specs.

This was the first time I had had my eyes tested in years. I was given a warm welcome and was seen very quickly. Anni first photographed the back of my eyes etc, explaining the process and then Harry carried our further tests. I was very impressed and put at ease with his conversation. Having done the testing he then showed me the pictures of my eyes, clearly explaining what they showed in simple, easy to understand language. He recommended suitable lenses with additional options of coating and l then went to look at frames. There was a large selection to.choose from and l was really impressed with how Karen took various measurements etc She was absolutely delightful... explaining exactly what she was doing and why. Overall it was a lovely experience and l would highly recommend this branch 😁

The staff were very friendly and efficient, there was a lovely calm, clean environment, the equipment was very modern and advanced. I was given plenty of time to chose the right frames and felt assured that they would be a good fit. I had been recommended to Boots and feel very glad that I took the advice. I will certainly recomment to other people - what a difference to my previous expereince elsewhere.

Always have the best experience at the Newton Abbot Boots opticians branch. Harry is the best optician ever, and the ladies out front are lovely (one of them - Millie I think? Literally has the warmest glow and makes everyone smile). I wouldn’t go anywhere else now for myself or my children

Great service all staff helpful and friendly. Having the same optician as last year is reassuring, he is very helpful and extremely knowledgeable.
Myself and friend have been referred for further investigation at Clinic. Would not consider other service while this gent is available.

Had an eye test followed by a contact lens trial. The eye test couldn't have been explained more thoroughly , very professional. The contact lens trial was amazing. The lady was so patient and thorough, had no idea of the service I was to receive
