Bridgfords is probably the best letting agency I have rented with. They are extremely professional and are very honest with every detail about their properties. Every stage of the tenancy process is thoroughly explained and guided through, and there aren't any rude surprises anywhere. A lot of my experience with Bridgfords was through Carrie, who was prompt in replying to every query and concern I raised. She explained every step of the process of tenancy very carefully and made it quite simple to move in. I am quite happy with Bridgfords and I believe it is largely due to people like Carrie who work there!

She was constantly on the phone to all of the chains solicitors as well as the third parties involved to chase updates and to have enquiries answered. Madison was in constant contact with myself via phone calls into hours past her contracted time as well as emails throughout the day. Contacted Bridgfords and arranged for a valuation. They came out on the 29/1/25 as arranged. Said we’d probably receive an email the next day with all details and to go from there. No email and again the next day nothing. Phoned on the afternoon to be greeted by someone who seemed to have a could not care less attitude. I was told the person dealing with it had not been in all day yesterday and not in so far today. Call ended with “I’ll jog her memory”

Six days had passed since the valuation viewing and still not a word. I rang Dowen’s on the 4th Feb. Came out on the 5th and house up for sale before lunchtime 6th.

Guy from Dowens was professional, knew his stuff and pointed out a major mistake Bridgfords had made on the pricing they were going to use when advertised.

I have experiences of renting and buying with various agents in the past but has never across an agent as bad as Bridgfords. During my purchase of a property in Durham, they lied again and again to cover a minor thing that the garage lock was broken. When the keys were handled over and they no longer could cover this lie, the agent-in-charge actually quit the job exactly on that day. Meanwhile, the letting team tried to convince me to let them manage the property on my behalf. When I declined the service, they even attempted to withhold any related property documents from me. What an ‘impressive’ operation! I would avoid Bridgefords at all costs.
