I am over visiting my daughter and family in Newton Mearns and I called into this shop earlier to buy a bottle of wine to go with our dinner. I went to pay with a Northern Irish £20 note. The woman behind the counter refused to take it off me. I explained that it was UK legal tender and was pounds sterling. Another customer in the shop also confirmed that Northern Irish notes were fully legal throughout the UK. The woman still refused to take my money. Fortunately I also had Bank of England cash in my pocket and paid. Its time people like this realised we too are part of the UK regardless of our political affiliation and that we in Northern Ireland have no hesitation in taking Scottish notes when presented. This shop needs to stop discriminating against people from outside GB as happened to me. Service review would be zero only for the fact zero was not available.

Such lovely friendly staff, fridges always well stocked with ready to serve wines and beers, so handy and convenient, always competitive prices too

Pull up outside the shop at 9.49pm and the shutters are going down when the shops supposed to open till 10pm
When you drive 10 mins to get there it's annoying but apparently it happens all the time
Won't be doing that again
