I've held an account for over 2 years and have had a credit limit of £200 that whole time. I use my card every month and pay in full, on time every month, I have never missed a payment and have a credit limit with Aqua of £2,000. This is the most ridiculous and pointless credit card imaginable, I will be cancelling my account very soon! I would suggest others to avoid and just use Aqua, a well known, trusted credit provider, whom increase/decrease your limit based on your payment performance and spending. Capital one truly is a pitiful excuse for a credit lender. Avoid avoid avoid!

Deserve zero stars. Put a default against my name, despite me paying them and entering a payment plan. Horrible company whom don’t care about their customers. Taken them to the Financial Ombudsman. They do not want the Ombudsman’s to investigate as they say I responded outside the designated time. I had just had major surgery that year. Can’t emphasis enough what a nasty company they are. It’s time this company was held to account. Please avoid!!!!!

I was a victim of fraud at this company, I never applied for anything nor had an account with this company. They correctly identified this as fraud but only after I noticed a hard search and spent over an hour trying to get into contact to notify them that it was not me. I was told that any links to capital one would be removed from my credit file as other companies do and have done for me once fraud is identified. Fast forward 23 weeks from that email the hard search is yet to be removed. Around 9 weeks ago I spoke to the complaints department and sent through proof of the search still showing on my file and still nothing has been done. I have tried to contact them to request and update but all I get is a generic automated email stating it can take up to 8 weeks for a response which I am clearly past. They clearly do not care about victims of fraud so I can imagine treatment of their customers are not much different. Avoid this company at all costs and save yourself time and hassle.

Yet Another Year with a £450 Credit Limit

Well, it's that time of year again – time for my annual request to Capital One for a credit limit increase. Spoiler alert: nothing has changed.

I've been a loyal customer for eight years, never missed a payment, and yet my credit limit still sits at a staggering £450. It's almost like a tradition at this point. Despite my consistent and responsible usage, Capital One seems determined to keep my limit firmly in the "not going anywhere" category.

I almost look forward to this yearly exercise just to see if anything will ever change. It's like my own personal Groundhog Day. If you're into consistency and enjoy the thrill of predictability, Capital One might just be the card for you.

Maybe next year, Capital One. Maybe next year.

I've never seen a company getting so may one star review on google. Capital One is a real Capital One Star. So, why am I here? I was looking for a job and I checked their web sites. I was puzzled to see that some 90% of the jobs they offer are for graduates. I got suspicious and checked reviews ..... well, well ...... one star everywhere. That's why I'm here. No thank you. I can imagine what kind of company this is.

Capital One sold my account to another company without informing me and I only found out when the other company wrote to me. When I spoke to Capital One their excuse was it’s in your T’s & C’s which are about 10 years old and yet he was not concerned that Capital One had not informed me he also told me that we would cancel the direct debit which they did not do and still took money from my Barclays account and when I phoned up Capital One refused to do anything about it it took 4 more phone calls to get the refund as they just mucked me around with excuses and tell me it will be in the account by 5pm tomorrow which it was not.
Do not open an account with Capital One you will regret it.

Don’t even bother applying with this company as they won’t try and review any application that is cancelled due to Royal Mail delivering the mail late. Stupid process, useless call centre as they have no actual power to do anything.

Fraud company they stole my refund and still showing the same balance. Everytime same automatic response no customer service no email id. Totally fraud.
