Having moved to the area nearly 12 months ago, I have used the Centre and Pharmacy on a number of occasions over this period. I have consistently been very impressed with the professional service and level of care I have received from both these areas. I have found the nurse practitioner system used within the Centre, which I have not experienced before, innovative, efficient, and effective.

The surgery seems to be back to normal after the Covid years for face to face appointments which I have had need of three times recently. I saw two different GPs and the appointments were unhurried and thorough; I felt I was listened to and am pleased with the service I received.

The dispensery at dersingham Carole brown health centre is impossible to reach, on three occasions I have received cancelled medication and I'm now short of medication and after many attempts of phoning I have given up.
All other staff have been wonderful.

Management of systems is non existent. Receptionists helpful but no one can do anything as managed from Gayton Rd. This just an outpost where systems prevent processes. The Exec Director appears to be unreachable by anyone

Having just moved to the area and registered with the surgery, I wasn't sure what to expect. My initial contact with the reception staff was amazing. Incredibly friendly and very professional and squeezed us in for an urgent appointment. I have also spoken with the pharmacy section who were also Incredibly helpful in sorting a prescription as we had issues with our online service. Really happy with the service.

Absolutely dreadful, had an appointment booked for this afternoon and received a text informing it had been cancelled. I phoned them and the nurse / doctor had gone sick.

I had the day off work (unpaid) to attend the appointment. I now people these days have the breaking strain of a flip flop and go sick with the slighted thing, but I don’t get sick pay and haven’t been off sick for nearly thirty years - just a point to consider when negotiating there already fair salary.

By far THE worst doctors surgery I've ever been with. I booked an appointment last year to do with mental health & it had taken me a long time to pluck up the courage to go & talk to someone about this. When I spoke to the doctor about being severely depressed, he told me "Oh, well you look well enough." & refused to prescribe me any medication.
A year later & I have found out you now cannot book an appointment in advance, you have to phone up on the day, wait in a phone queue, to get an appointment for that day. That's all well & good.. If you don't work full time Monday to Friday.. In which case that doesn't leave you any availability to sit on the phone waiting to get an appointment!
What makes it worse is that they have now changed the system again & when I last phoned, the receptionist asked what the issue was, I replied it was personal & I would prefer not to say. Then she said I had to tell her so that the doctor knew what he was phoning about. I said that the doctor would know what the issue was when he phoned, but she told me that she had to write down the issue, in order for the doctor to decide if I was eligible or not for a call back, then if he phoned me back, he would discuss the issue & decide whether I am then eligible for a face to face appointment that day.
So in other words, if the doctor decided the reason for my call wasn't that important, then I wouldn't get a call back & if I did, then there's still no guarantee I would even get to see a doctor!
I am completely outraged at this surgery. I have avoided going to the doctors for so long but I can't any longer. If I could find a doctors willing to take on out of area patients then believe me I would be long gone!
I wouldn't recommend this surgery to anyone no matter how desperate they are!
