Can't comment on UK service but Europe is a complete waste of money, left me stranded for hours then told me it would take a week to replace a clutch master cylinder on a common vw, ended up sorting out myself

Maybe nationally it's not so bad. But Europe coverage is a scam. The car stopped on the highway, we did not have roadside assistance, after about 5 hours on a highway a truck arrived that took our car to his workshop. He told me that he will sign on the phone with which he did not have any document for me. They told me that the car would be repatriated, so I spent my money to go home. The money is never refunded. I call and they tell me that in a week... but so on and it never arrives. As for the car, after a couple of days in the first workshop, they moved it to another workshop without my consent, in the workshop they were supposedly told that it was very expensive and that it could not be fixed. With which now it could neither be repaired nor repatriated because the value of the arrangement would be more than that of the car. Again I will have to pay to repatriate the car, so a complete scam. Probably we will have to go to court so that these scams do not happen anymore

Definitely avoid these people..they sent me a green flag agent for a simple flat battery issue ,he didnt know where the battery was and told me call back when i know where it is..I called back after and cbc breakdown people ,one was kelly, asked 125 pounds for calling again..Greenflag guy accused me to them for somerrason to save himself and cbc guys didnt want to believe me ..terrible customer service and whatmore is I never had an experience for recovery service who cant reach to battery because of lacking knowledge..dont spend a penny for those people who are absolutely useless for both customer services and recovery service

I had a puncture in France. As I am 80 and the wheels on my car are big and heavy I decided to get help. I rang CBC and was asked for details of my return booking. As I had crossed from Dover to Calais by DFDS and had not decided exactly when I would cross over from Calais to Dover, I decided to wait until the end of October before making my booking. I was informed that if I could not send details of my return booking my policy could not help me.
If you are travelling around Europe without a return ticket do not use CBC.

Do not buy insurance from here. The worst customer service I have ever received. Very incompetent staff, they got my home address wrong and recovered my car to wrong address resulting in me missing my slot with the mechanic. I then had to wait 2 days causing further issues and delays. After complaining, they took responsibility for the mistake and I was assured I would be compensated. We discussed how much compensation I would receive on the phone. They then “lost” my bank details and I didn’t receive payment for my claim. They then paid me the incorrect amount and told me due to “lack of training” they were unable to reimburse me the agreed amount on the phone. They conducted an internal review which took 28 days and apologised but would not correct their mistake and ignored further emails to discuss the outcome on the phone. Do not waste your money, go with an insurance company you can trust, it is not worth the stress.

They took 24hrs to get the recovery vehicle, and that only took me half way! Dropped me at services and made me wait another 4hrs for another pick up truck to get me home. Broke down knly 100 miles away. And i dont know how theyre able to cover the whole europe. No hope of compensation or anything. The company doesnt care about your nor your family. I asked for a train ticket home and they wouldn't even pay for that. Disappointing service. I would stay away from this company. Insurance is just for the name, service is awful!! Disgusting

Broke down on our first day in Energy management light came on.contacted National breakdown who text me the information to take the car to a Kia garage this is on a Sunday with no garage open and we were towing a caravan ,with the car in limp mode.Ang get the car repaired before they could assist.The next day I visited 3 Kia garage before I could find a garage that could do the repair in 2 days. Had I waited for National breakdown I would still be waiting for the repair.i needed them to assist me and reassure me but they did neither I consider them to be a waste of money.
