Biggest factor for us was they put our mind at rest that we will have enough pension pot to retire when we are ready (my wife actually retires in 2 weeks at 53 years old). Another great approach they have is they explain things very simply and clearly, my wife normally turns off if its to detailed or complex but through all our meetings my wife has understand the vast majority of what we have covered.
