Played on a Thursday for £15 green fee, tremendous value. Professional was extremely helpful and friendly. A blustery day led to a challenging game and the course can be a little confusing for first timers with quite a few blind shots. Members were helpful (even recommending an excellent pub as the clubhouse wasn't open). Views were stunning, and it's quite a workout walking the course. Well worth it though.

Absolutely amazing. A wonderful track, quirky yet fair. One of the finest settings in UK golf.

Staff and members were courteous, friendly and very helpful. Great little club house, superb food and good range of drinks.

Weather was great and certainly added to the occasion.

Highly recommended, a must visit. Inexpensive green fee, buggy was useful although not essential.

Will definitely return !

Incredible! Played this course today on my way up to Troon from down south. I actually booked it without realising I’d seen it in some online videos a while back! It’s safe to say the videos, and indeed some of the reviews here, aren’t entirely accurate. The staff and even some of the other players were so friendly and helpful, especially given my poor performance on the course ?. Expect to see plenty of sheep and horses! This course is very hilly, but you’re well rewarded with some amazing views and some of the most interesting holes you’ll ever encounter. Although this course is far from my home, I can safely say I will make a trip back at some point!

What a fantastic course to visit. James (the pro) was unbelievably welcoming and accommodating for a late day, bank holiday round with my son. The course is so unique and memorable. Greens were in excellent shape and surprisingly flat given the hilly overall terrain. Can’t recommend it enough!

A truly unique golf course. Stunning views. Some quirky holes. Real character. Strongly recommend using a buggy as it is so hilly. And make sure you carefully follow the buggy signs as there are some treacherous hills. Golf pro very friendly and helpful and clearly proud of his course. Catering staff also very helpful - home made sausage rolls were delicious. Loved this course.

Played here 2nd February on an extremely windy day (25+ mph) and it proved to be one of the toughest tests of golf (and fitness) I’ve faced but it was strangely one of the most enjoyable. The course itself was in great condition, the fairways and greens were very good for the time of year and the views are nothing short of spectacular. The pro was very welcoming and the lady on the bar was brilliant.
Would highly recommend this course and the £20 to play it was worth every penny. Looking forward to playing again in hopefully calmer conditions. I slept for hours after this round ?

I played this course as a visitor.
What a wonderful course, 16hcp. Course is a challenge played in Aug.
Very well priced.
Average paced greens.
Lovely fairways, kept down by the local sheep.
If your a little unfit, consider a buggy (if they have them?) I walked.
The views are picture postcard, especially when you get past the 3rd.
You would need to play the course twice to get the best out of your game as there a couple of blind approaches.
I found the members I met friendly, pro shop friendly and course staff friendly.
The negative reviews seem harsh and maybe due to some internal discussions over spilling into the world of social media.
If your thinking of playing as a visitor, fill your boots, you should really enjoy the course.
If your thinking of becoming a member…….. remember you can’t please everyone ?
I look forward to playing this course again when I come back to the area.
