Avoid them at all!
Paid £900 for a month of HGV Insurance and a year of GIT and Public liability and cancelled after 14 days, they’re asking for another £200 to cancel it! It’s a joke.

I regret to express my disappointment with CompareHGV based on my recent experience. Despite notifying the company about the sale of my truck, they continued the insurance policy until I took the step of stopping transfers with the bank. Even after bringing the matter to their attention, they attempted to impose additional charges.

It's perplexing that CompareHGV did not cease the policy when informed of the vehicle's sale, and the involvement of a debt collection agency without addressing the issue is concerning. This approach seems to reflect a lack of ethical business practices and a disregard for customer concerns.

Effective communication and transparency are crucial in the insurance industry, and my encounter with CompareHGV has left me dissatisfied. I hope this review provides insights for others considering their services, emphasizing the importance of ethical conduct and customer-focused resolutions.

UPDATE: Your reply is incorrect. I sent multiple replies to your company after the initial email.

I also sent proof of sale documentation as requested.

At no point did I communicate the purchase of another truck or express an intention to continue the insurance policy for the previous truck (i.e there is no point having insurance if I no longer own the truck). My primary purpose in contacting Louis was to inform him that the specific truck covered by the insurance policy had been sold, and therefore, the related policy was no longer required.

Nothing but problems with this company. From claims to refunds. The most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. Thrown from pillow to post. You'll get someone like Fraser answer the phone to have it disconnected and not get a call back. You'll forever chase once they have your money. And good luck with getting a reply by email.
Up to 6 weeks to wait for a refund, and guess what 6 weeks comes and back on the phone chasing. What a surprise.This was the last straw for me
