Never would i stay with them. Co op insurance needed work doing on the house insurance kept us hanging on for months and then refused to pay out insurance to cover costs . Absolutely appalling . Taken money for over 40 years from myself and now won't pay . Disgusting . I just want to give them a zero not a 1 star .

Complete joke of a company. Clearly told them to contact my solicitors for the claim made against me which was not my fault, even with camera footage they casually cancel my policy without any notification, then I ended up driving for 2 days with no insurance due to there lack of communication. A letter was sent 3 days after my policy was cancelled, I checked online with the MID. There excuse for cancelling was 'its the underwriters decision' which is a poor and silly excuse. They charged my account for the full month, then canceled right after taking my money. Complete joke and I will be taking it further with the ombudsman.

Took almost an hour of my time and phone call costs to learn that they wouldn't cover me for contents and building insurance due to my postcode. Could have saved me a lot of time if that could be checked first. If getting a quote, ask this first because it is such a waste of call costs and has tainted my view of the coop brand. Now, Karl, who I spoke to was brilliant, professional, easy to talk to and did a great job, he was apologetic when he couldn't give me a quote and he was an asset to a company that needs to tweak its systems to help everyone.

Never had such a terrible experience with a company. After an incident of which I had dash cam footage explicitly showing that it was the fault of the third party. The cooperative lost my dash cam footage 4 times over the course of just under a year. Every time I phoned I was lied to about the current status of my claim and when they would take further action against the third party insurer who was not responding. After 8/9 months I received a letter from the cooperative, they’d now changed their mind and the incident was my fault. Which it quite clearly wasn’t (this letter came a month before my renewal, how funny). I will not be renewing with cooperative and I highly recommend anyone avoids them. £700 of excess gone and hours of time lost trying to keep my claim moving forward. Never again, totally disorganised.

What sort of insurance company doesn't allow you to change the vehicle on the policy that you are paying for? Providing no reason as to why they cant provide cover. But very quick to offer a no charge cancellation of the policy!!! Even the 1 star rating is too good for this company.

Had an accident which was clearly not my fault as the other driver hit my car overtaking on the opposite side. I called customer service team to make a claim and the claims team blamed me for the accident even though I given them everything in writing and provided the pictures / digram. The shocking thing is that my statement was changed and a customer service team did not listen to what I had to say.

If I could give 0 stars I would without any hesitation. Worse insurance company we have ever dealt with. Do not be fooled by their cheap quotes like how we did. They do not care about their clients, rather will make the most out of the situation. They have lied so much it is unreal, displayed unprofessional service in so many ways. Please save yourselves from stress. I cannot emphasis on how terrible this company is. Should be shut down!!!!

never get fooled. i was supposed to look the review first. its my mistake. please shoutdown these kind of companies. my car has been broken down and i asked for courtsey car they said to me we dont do. liers. there should be option for 0 star as well.
