Bizarre company
Sign-up process was extremely clunky and unintuitive. Went through verification 7 times (all failed). Had to phone them up - the rep was rude, suggesting it was MY fault for not going through their faulty process properly
Finally got into the account. It looks like a website from the 90s. A bunch of links don't work properly (nothing happens when you click). Crashes randomly
Worst of all, I could not even figure out how to deposit money. I'm not tech illiterate - I run an online business. The navigation is a mess, and so unfriendly to the customer
I was going to put in a bunch of money to take advantage of the good rate, but I no longer feel comfortable doing it. Everything is a mess. So I'm not going to bother, it's wasted enough of my time

I opened a fixed rate ISA, they took my money but nothing was showing up. I called numerous times, and on each occasion waited for a manager to call me back. It never happened. Over two weeks since they have taken my money and all I get, is "there appears to be a problem, we are looking in to it". I have asked them to close the account and return the money but it has to be returned to a normal account so I have lost the benefit of transferring in.

My experience with Cynergy Bank has gone from frustrating to outright unacceptable. As of today, I’ve received no updates on the status of my blocked account, and the situation continues to be handled with an extreme lack of transparency and professionalism.
After multiple attempts to get information, I’ve been told that Cynergy Bank cannot explain why my account was blocked, nor can they give me any clear timeframe for resolving the issue. To make matters worse, they initially provided a vague timescale that turned out to be completely inaccurate. I’ve been continuously redirected between the customer service and fraud teams, each telling me to contact the other, neither offering any real help.
When I requested to close my account and withdraw my funds, I was told this was not possible. This has left me in a situation where I have no access to my own money, no clear explanation as to why, and no support from the bank to resolve the matter.
Cynergy Bank’s inability to provide straightforward answers, coupled with their lack of accountability, has caused me significant financial strain. I would strongly advise anyone considering this bank to think carefully about whether they want to risk being left without access to their own funds in times of need.

Great rate, incredibly poor online account facilities. Cynergy bank uses a two step authenticator via an app on your mobile phone. The most unreliable authenticator I've ever seen. Doesn't always scan, and when it does its a miracle. If you manage to scan the authenticator image, the app will more than likely not communicate well with the bank on desktop meaning very sporadic access to your own accounts and money. Website then crashes with alarming frequency. It's enough to make me go elsewhere. As soon as rate is finished I'll move my cash for sure. This is the most difficult, intuitive-less online banking system. Going into my branch is less hassle that this banks online banking. Awful. Just awful.

Opened ISA. Found process difficult to navigate. The authenticator was tempremental. Transfer in from a previous ISA was never done. Got told to reapply after 3 weeks waiting. Luckily, I only put in a £1 to get it started. Closed account went elsewhere. The new bank had it all sorted in less than a week. Would not recommend.

Absolutely horrid, I would even say dodgy, stay clear. We are not able to make any transfer whatsoever to our other accounts with Hsbc or Barclays as our classic saver account is 'not eligible'. Clearing phone banking security proves impossible as those questions have been set up ages ago and there is no access to them via online banking to check answers or reset them. We have sent numerous secure messages all of which remain unanswered. We will report to Ombudsman

I'm surprised to read so many negatives, I've never had any problems.
I use a laptop to manage the account and use my phone to get through security. Maybe if you try to do everything by phone it causes a problem?
Only reason for giving 4* instead of 5* is they don't tell you if a better rate is available. Not much of a problem for me as I'm always checking the best rates and Cynergy consistently has some of the best.

Faster Payments are not! They take this bank roughly 72 hours. Then you have to do all of the chasing and secure message sending. Then wait and wait....Made a faster payment on 8th June. Still not in my nominated account. Have raised a potential fraud issue, against Cynery themselves. Now they have suspended my account. I will be closing my accounts ASAP. Be wiser than me, don't open one!
