I purchased a pre-owned Devon Monte Carlo in May 23 from an independent dealership. When we viewed the van the rear passenger seatbelt wouldn’t recoil so the dealership fitted a new one. Unfortunately it was far too short making the seat unusable.
I contacted Jeff who very kindly sourced a new one for me which I collected yesterday. He couldn’t be more helpful and even fitted it for me.
So a big shout out to Jeff and the 2 young fitters that helped me 😊
PS absolutely love my Devon, highly recommended.

We recently purchased a Devon Arizona conversion. We are absolutely delighted with our choice. The quality of the coversion is excellent as is the service. From first placing the order through to collection of our van the staff, especially Kevin, were incredibly helpfully, efficient and friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We have a two year old Devon Firefly. It's had a series of build quality problems from small to large.

1) The trim round the side door is a poor fit an looks scruffy
2) Small caps over screws in the internal fittings have fallen off
3) The bolts on a metal bracket in one of the under seat storage bins weren't done up. The brackets have sharp edges in a spot were you can cut your hand
4) The decals fitted by the company on the bonnet of the van are lifting
5) a Metal trim over the rear bumper fell off because it hadn't been glued on properly
6) The igniter switch on the oven has an intermittent fault
7) The gas regulator stopped working at the beginning of a 4 day trip and left us unable to cook and make a hot drink. This fault according to the manufacturers website is caused by not fitting a filter upstream of the regulator in the gas circuit. This invalidates the warranty on the regulator.

Devon's aftersales service has been, in my opinion, atrocious. They suggested I take up with the manufacturer of the oven, the problem with the igniter. They told me that the problem with the regulator was the problem of the gas supplier, Calor, and I take it up with them, also that it's just "wear and tear".

I've found them in my opinion disinterested and high handed.

I purchased a Firefly. On delivery there were a number of small issues that could have been corrected at my home but I was required to take it back a return journey of 200 miles. I was kept waiting all day with a promise of collection from the nearest bus staion that never happened. On returning one of the issues had not been fixed. Half an hour later I was shown that it had been fixed. On arriving home the fault had reappeared. On investigation myself It was very quickly apparent that the problem was because the TV socket had been wired into the lighting circuit, a 5 amp fused circuit, rather than correctly into the Aux circuit. It was therefore only live when the lights were on. This was a basic error that should have been obvious to any competent electrician. Devon Insisted I take it back again without any offer of repayment of costs or compensation. I refused and aftter threatening legal action they accepted that the repair could be carried out by a local garage.

I would also advise any purchaser to ensure that the fridge works on gas reliably as it took over 24 hours to stay on with probably 50 or more attempts to get it to stay on and also that all the 12 volt and 240 volts sockets work before accepting delivery.

In summary: A nice well thought out camper. Shame about the pre deleivery quality assurance checks and couldnt cae less approach to after sales care.

I called in to ask if it was possible to purchase parts for a camper conversion I am doing don't know who the member of staff was that I spoke to but I hope he isn't the customer service manager because he was the most unhelpful person I have had to deal with in a long time
