Worst insurance company ever , I got hit by one of their clients .... took 2 and half weeks , for their assessors to not look at the car and then scrap it ..... got paid out , went looking for another car , for some reason I didn't get finance for another car , couldn't work out why . Found out direct line had not paid my finance company . 21 days after they posted a cheque ..... I mean it is 2025 , they take EFT payments ,,,, but can't make them ,,,, if you are in an accident and they use Direct Line , don't I repeat don't, get involved with direct line , let your insurance sort it out ..... always wondered why they offer £500 to do the claim with them ..... level of incompetence borders on artistic.. there is no professionalism, the only thing that works there is their customers service, due to the amount of issues they go through ... now today I have to waste my time yet again , because the finance company has taken the payment out of my account , so I have to call Direct Line again to adjust the cheque because the settlement amount has changed , because I had to pay something that was supposed to be settled 3 weeks ago . Directline is just tiring to deal with ,,,, get your insurance to deal with them never to it yourself .... total waste of my time , then they get their complaints people to bribe you ....... stop bribing people to keep quiet , stop giving £500 to get customers over to you .... invest that money into your staff , make them better , stop wasting money on Winston wolf adverts and invest in your company..... ( this is the first negative review I have ever left )

I have been a customer for 10 years. I was just quoted over £1002 pounds for a 2015 ford suv, up from £534 last year. I just went on go compare. £389 from Axa for the same cover. Out of principle I will NEVER use direct line again. Thieves. Don’t trust these liars. You can always get a better quote. They done submit to the online comparison sites because they are LIARS.

Horrified with shark tactics of this company.
I have been a long standing customer for over 10 years, my wife’s insurance has gone up by 42% with no claims. Other insurance company’s are quoting prices at 35% less,managed to get a very small discount - disgraceful !

The customer service is very bed
there is only bot no human touch it is very difficult to change main driver from the app. I waisted my 2 hours on the chat and then they transferred me on WhatsApp to deal with and they don't know what they are talking

I'm disappointed tried to get my renewal and all you get is chat bots the codes don't work I going with some one else no Humen to speak to also iv noticed it's all on line if you have a claim disappointed

I've been with Direct line insurance for many years, without a claim or so much as a phone call and then all of a sudden yesterday, they decided to literally double my car insurance upon renewal and blame global activity.

Suffice to say, I cancelled all my Direct line insurance policies and found alternative companies.

Another global organisation feeding off the Beast of October 2019.

Have nothing to do with this organisation.

Your service is shockingly disgusting! Been insured with you for over 10 years and what do I get for your shabby service!
Hung on the line for over 2 hours now and noone has bothered to answer me. Your happy to take my over priced insurance ever year though aren't you! Well for my loyalty I'm off with the rest of the customers you don't bother getting back to. You've gone down hill in my estimation and if you can't be bothered to speak to your customers then I can't be bothered to use your shoddy services anymore.
Your a waste of effort. Good riddens.
