Since moving to Disley trying to ship anything through this post office has been pot luck at best. It appears to have optional open hours for the owner? This is not the first time where it is midday on a weekday and the store is still closed? Looking at the other reviews it appears I’m not the only one experiencing this poor service. Was also made aware of a petition that was created addressing the same issue.

Store not open as scheduled and service deteriorating significantly. Disley needs a reliable post office more than a vape shop. Please do not forget this.

Worst post office. Never opens on time, most miserable bloke known to man works there. Only decided to go there today as I was passing, waited from 9am to 9:20 nothing. Avoid it if at all possible

Seems to be a glaring security issue-the last time I went in, the manageress of the charity shop next door casually wandered in to the supposedly secure back area of the Post Office from a shabby connecting door that adjoins the two properties, obviously preparing for a good Over-the-Garden-Wall style chinwag with the postmistress! It might be all right in a chip-shop, but not a Post office holding presumably thousands of pounds in cash, and obviously, valuables. Anyone minded could gain entry from the same insecure door and probably never appear on camera. The staff are friendly, but perhaps too friendly, in this case. If I've casually observed this problem, I'm sure lots of other less salubrious people have. If you've got anything valuable to post, you might have a more professional experience with New Mills, where this physically just couldn't happen.

Suleman the post master is is so friendly and gives good service its good yo have someone young there as i have come to the post office so many times and he always gets the job done so fast and is really polite also came 2/3 times towards the end of the day and the post collection was just going out and he made sure my post went with the post collection man , great service suleman , also had a broken phone and literally my phone is brand new and running so much faster now nothing but 5 starts from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I took my fully functional iPhone 11 which had a small crack in the screen into Disley Post Office for a replacement glass.

Immediately after the fix the iPhone OS reported that a non Apple part had been fitted and it stated the message would disappear after a few days. As I was going away for 2 weeks I didn’t return to ask about the issue.

Shortly after I got back the phone screen started going black or stripy when light pressure applied. I returned to the shop, the owner refused a refund.

As he had also failed on 2 repairs to my wife’s phone, I refused his ridiculous offer that I go to Apple Store to get it tested. His attitude under pressure is offensive and arrogant. He’s clearly very experienced at refusing refunds and we’ve since seen lots of complaints about his work on Disley Facebook.
