Can’t recommend enough - I had such a great experience and will be returning again and again!
I explained to Dejan in my consultation that the last haircut I had (18 months prior) was such a disaster and because of that I was quite nervous.
He made a conscious effort to reassure me throughout and continuously checked in to see if I was happy with what was going on. He’s so kind 🙂 the result was amazing, natural and light just as I asked!
And the salon itself is very professional and feels like a luxurious treat to go there.

I’ve been coming to Edward James exclusively for nearly 2 years now, always coming to Ellie for highlights.
I had a few previous bad experiences, both with over processing of bleach leading to extensive damage, and poor cuts leaving me embarrassed and unable to wear my hair how I wanted.
On my first visit Ellie listened to my concerns comprehensively in our consultation, I showed her photos of previous bad jobs I’d had done, and showed her inspiration of what I was trying to achieve. She was realistic and has always addressed my main concern which is for hair health and strength.
Ellie is without a doubt the best hairdresser I have ever been to, and after sitting in her chair for hours every other month she has become more of a friend than just a hairdresser to me! The salon itself is the ultimate self care experience, with a shoulder massage on every visit, lovely coffee and head massages at the basin. I genuinely look forward to getting my hair done now and always leave the salon absolutely glowing, two feelings which were previously always unknown to me. It’s so refreshing to visit a salon that focuses on the integrity, health and lustre of the hair, instead of quick fixes and cover up jobs. This is without a doubt, the best salon I’ve ever been to and you have a customer for life. I only wish I could get my hair done more often as it’s one of my favourite things now, whereas it used to be something I avoided. I have never had so many compliments on my hair and despite all I’ve put it through over the years, after being loyal to this salon it has never looked so good.

I visited Edward James Richmond for the first time for a haircut and keratin treatment with Marcella, and my experience was exceptional from start to finish.

When I called to book a few weeks prior, the receptionist (a lovely girl - whose name I have unfortunately since forgotten!) was incredibly professional, friendly, and engaging. She took the time to offer thoughtful suggestions, making my first impression of the salon extremely positive.

That impression was only reinforced when I arrived for my appointment last weekend. The salon itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable - offering a true luxury experience. But what really set Edward James apart from other similar salons I’ve visited were the thoughtful little details at every stage of the experience. From the treatment, drinks and discount menu to the beautifully presented gift vouchers, every aspect felt intentional and refined. Even the small touches, like the relaxing essential oil shoulder and scalp massage before my hair wash, made a real difference, adding an extra level of care and indulgence.

Marcella was amazing. She immediately understood my concerns about my previous haircut, especially my side bangs, and put me completely at ease. My hair is thick and coarse, which can be tricky to manage, but she handled it effortlessly, giving me one of the best cuts I’ve had in years. The keratin treatment has been a complete success, and I couldn’t be happier with the results - it’s also currently 20% off until the end of Feb!

From the warm and welcoming team to the impeccable service and attention to detail, every aspect of my visit exceeded expectations. It’s rare to find a salon that not only delivers great hair but also makes you feel truly taken care of from the very first interaction. I’ll absolutely be back and will be recommending Edward James Richmond to friends and family!

I recently had my first haircut at Edward James, and I can confidently say it won’t be the last! I’ve finally found someone who truly understands what I wanted. A huge shout-out to Dejan—he is incredibly efficient and really knows his craft. He took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and delivered it perfectly.
I asked for fringe and layers and exactly I got what I wanted.

I’ve been to Edward James a few times now and my stylist, Dejan, has been amazing each time. The first time he did my hair I had it cut and layered. This completely transformed my hair and revived my curls - which I had been struggling to fix for years. He also shaped my bangs and face shaping perfectly, it’s so much easier to style and look after now that it is healthy.

I had such an amazing haircut with Dejan, who was so thoughtful, warm and lovely not to mention incredibly skilled. I don’t think I’ve ever had a hair stylist make me feel more at ease in the chair. I cannot recommend Edward James highly enough! I had a haircut with Dejan and he was an absolute pro. He listened to me and my requirements, gave feedback and made suggestions and in the end delivered the best hair cut I have had in years! The hair cut is so good that even after washing my hair at home, it looks beautiful. To top it all off, the whole experience at the salon was amazing, from start to finish.
