When I started contracting I used "SJD" City based accountancy, I was massively impressed by their service but it came at a very premium price and was overkill for the purposes I needed them for (Ltd company with minimal expense processing). I then tried a few cheap accountancy firms and found I'd have to beg them to answer my queries. After stumbling across one of Nicola's blog posts about purchasing EV's for business use (which in 2017/18 there were very few writing about this) I got the impression Effective we're a hidden gem and it turned out to be true! I've had zero issues with them in the last 4 years and wholeheartedly recommend them.
