Awful company to deal with - it’s like stepping back in time - they have a form for everything, love sending things in the post - require recorded delivery for documents being returned and levy exorbitant charges for relatively minor admin. Definitely not interested in the client.

Horrible customer experience. Called customer support to get my adress changed, they asked me to send a letter which I did. Next thing I get a letter back with a form that I need to fill. Not helpful at all.

Trying to change my name on shares, sent in original marriage certificate as it says on their website to do. Then get a letter saying as it’s a copy it needs authentication, please do NOT send this company any important documents as you will not see them again. Three calls to call centre and they insist I sent a copy, trying to explain I didn’t is just not registering with them. It’s like pulling teeth. I have had to resort to writing to them to get my original certificate returned but not holding out much hope. Find another broker people.

The male person I just spoke to was probably the most ignorant person I have ever spoken to. It says that we as customers have to be polite… well he needs a lesson in politeness. My first half of sentence was interrupted by a huge sigh and I was not able to finish the sentence. He asked my name and I told him they may have my previous name again a massive sigh then how do you spell that … I replied which one. He then went completely quiet for ages …I said are you there several time then another sigh ask date of birth.
He then went on to say ( I can help with an address that might help you ) I said am I boring you or something, this job really isn’t for you … again silence then started to give address… when asked how to spell the name silence…this went on all through the phone call. This man needs the sack

We have had sainsbury shares for 4decades,after selling some recently We are told that our bank details do not correspond with equiniti files and can only make payment by cheque which we are charged for, of course this anomaly is our fault even though dividends are paid into the same account and sales have been paid into this account for 40 year's.
Poor service is the order of the day and we pay for the privilege.

Shocking company as regards shares ,ignore letters . I have shares with standard life which were taken over by other company's before this one ,now I want to sell the shares and they are completely ignoring my request . Is there an ombudsman who we can complain to . Disgusted is not the word

So far they have been polite and very helpful, registering my LPOA and sending me the sellers forms which seem clear enough. I'm about to sell my Dad's shares under the LPOA, so hopefully all goes well.

I've read a lot of reviews in this company and they sound like an nightmare to deal with. A family member is looking to sell some shares with them and is having a really hard time with these people. Avoid if you can. There are lots of similar bad reviews on here and Trust Pilot...This bad service is similar to the sort of service we have been getting. Maybe Equiniti can reply to me with a solution?
