This company has taken over my properties from another Agent that ceased trading, i never agreed this and many times informed them that ill be managing myself, my tenants have been getting payment reminders, when i brought this up, Martyn said this was not true, well 1 month on ,another lot of payment reminders, remember this agent does not manage my properties, now they have taken the payment from 1 of my tenants and increased his rent without a section 13, for some reason this company thinks it can trade beyond the law, beware,, if this is how they treat someone who don't use their services, how do they treat the ones that rent or even let though them.unreal.

Martyn Stampe of Frederick & Co Property services...
He has been sending rent demands to my tenants even though he doesn't manage the properties, this was all discussed in numerous emails and telephone calls throughout July.
He also said that my tenants were seeing things with getting reminders as he said he never sent them.
1 month on they get the reminders again, remember he has nothing to do with my tenants or properties, 1 of the tenants thought it was a new agency who was now managing, and paid the amount requested that was £50 over the set rent.
I spoke to Martyn yesterday and he admitted he doesn't manage the properties and that it was the tenants fault for paying him and the deduction was due to costs involved in collecting the money and resending the rest to my account, i then again said, you do not manage the properties, he admitted that and refused to refund the costs that he deducted.
Since then i have spoken to the Police and this is a criminal matter, as the tenant was deceived into thinking they are entitled to collect and increase the rent on my behalf.
so as you see, this very Smug Martyn thinks he can do what he wants..

He was always responsive, always calm and supportive - Also as I was buying a place in Canterbury but living in London - he helped enormously - taking keys to the property to meet electricians etc so I could get quotes. My friend and I are international students from the USA and had both been accepted into the U of Kent at the beginning of the pandemic. Searching for a home that would work for us and our pets while living abroad was extremely difficult - but Martyn made the entire process easily understandable and smooth! He found us a great property in a fantastic location, and helped guide us through everything we needed in order to secure the home. As international students, we were obviously concerned about using an agent, but working with Martyn has been a blessing.

My sister rented a property from this company of cowboys. She has lived with a broken boiler, leaking toilet, mold over most of the walls in the house. The manager has ignored emails, texts and telephone. The girl who works on reception is useless at best. Dover Council are now involved and have served notices to get the work done but he still does nothing. Please look at any other company before dealing with this heartless cowboy. I will add onto this review with pictures shortly.

UPDATE. So my sisters boiler broke on Wednesday 25th Jan at 6am. She was informed that a plumber would come the following day. He did and condemned the boiler. No correspondence with Fredrick and Co. despite my sister calling constantly. I decided to call and Martin Stamp did answer. Guess he didn't know my number. He told me he was talking to a company to arrange some heating for my sister. It has now been than 48 hours. The 1985 Landlord and Tenant Act lays out the law on no heating or hot water pretty clearly. Ideally it should only be 24 hours max. I was promised by Martin Stamp that my sister would hear from him that afternoon. Nothing. Of course. So now my sister has had 4 days with no heating or hot water. She is disabled with a child. It's going to be a long cold weekend for her. Can't even rely on Martin Stamp to arrange something for Monday as correspondence non existent.

If you have the misfortune of dealing with this company log and record everything. I do.

It appears that if selling or buying a house it appears they are amazing to deal with. I'm guessing commission helps.
If renting, find somewher else before things go wrong.
