As all types of funding, grants can be be a very confusing world, if not one of the most confusing for entrepreneurs. With the number of schemes launching each year, and different requirements attached, no wonder entrepreneurs become a bit frustrated and wonder whether grants are the right option for them. However, this doesn't seem complex at all whenever we hear Alex and Tom presenting at our BFS seminars. These guys not only know how to talk but also know how to secure grants. As a Chartered Certified Accountant, when my business partner recommended Granted to me, my first comment was that I could do the R&D claim myself, but when I eventually agreed to using their services, it did save me a lot of time, not to mentioned the high quality of their write up on justifying the R&D and how nicely that was all referenced to the relevant HMRC rules.

Also, they professionally answered all my challenge questions and got us the R&D claim quicker than I would have done myself. So worth using them even for us Accountants.

I think their fees could be made more competitive, especially for start-ups. Since start-up using R&D claims mostly do it for cash flow benefits, the more they can get out of it the more they are likely to use external consultants like Granted, instead of getting the in house Accountant to do it.
