My mum went to see Dr Dobson she's terrified of hospitals but he was so nice he put her at ease straight away. I have never met such a nice Doctor. The rest of the staff were also very nice, the receptionist couldn't do enough for us. All in all considering the reason we were there it was a calming and caring experience for my mum. Thank you

Unfriendly. No compassion. No smiles. Not rude but boarding on pure meanness.
No extra help or thoughts of kindness for those with disabilities. I just went today with a family member. Arrived early, waited, ultra sound literally 2-3 minutes rush job. Again no smiles, no kindness towards patients or their supporting family. I asked to go in with my family member due to their disabilities and I also have emergency medication on their care plan, I am trained to administer. They did not want to allow me to go in, said NO. This was very stern and I was left trying to explain why it would be beneficial for me to stay with them. I was forced to do this in front of a busy waiting area with others listening to sensitive medical information. We were told to wait and eventually we were allowed in together after I explained there had never been a problem at other hospitals. It was really an awful experience. The ultrasound person said she couldn't see anything on the screen despite a palpable mass and hard knot in the neck.
I can't possibly think this diagnostic test was thorough at all. It was totally slap -dash and unprofessional.
I also happen to be an NHS specialist ( although I did not share this with the staff. ) as a fellow professional I am literally applauded at what I just witnessed. We also wanted to ask questions, no time for that at all. Literally told it's sent to your GP electronically ask them.
We will NOT be recommending to friends and family or anyone.
My family member has more than one disability and actually cried all the way home. Sitting back in their room traumatized by the lack of friendliness, and total rush job. Not even 5 minutes worth of a diagnostic test. To the staff member from Lancashire great hospital, who reviews these and responses with a general message - Please look back over all your LOW star ratings before you post your reply as there is NO patient centred approach at all in your ultrasound dept.
Shameful! Really ... Awful care.

What a shambolic experience!
Referred by my GP for a surgical procedure and the initial appointment was smooth and efficient. I was examined and it was confirmed that I did indeed require the procedure.
However things went downhill from there
I was subsequently contacted by telephone to arrange and confirm the date and I confirmed this as being acceptable. However I received no further communication from the hospital regarding times and subsequent 'patient arrangements'. I was expecting at least an e mail regarding this.
I let a week elapse and contacted the hospital to request the above details. A time was confirmed and I was assured all the 'patient arrangements' would be sent by email before the end of the day.
Nothing arrived.
I have just attended for my appointment to be told it has been cancelled and "somebody should have been in touch".
I received no contact from the hospital and have lost a day's work (self employed) as a result.
No further date was confirmed and here I am 'whistling dixie' whilst waiting for this to be sorted.
A very, very poor experience indeed.

I had an appointment with Dr Dobson today and just wanted to say how amazing he is. I walked in nervous and within seconds he had me laughing and made me feel at ease. He is the loveliest Dr I've ever seen. All the other staff were really nice as well. Really happy I chose to be seen here.

My husband had an apt with Dr Dobson but they were running over 2 hours late.
The receptionist, Claire, was wonderful and went above and beyond.
She brought extra chairs and tea, coffee and biscuits and was so apologetic and helpful.
She certainly deserves recognition !
It will be a sad day when Dr Dobson leaves the NHS as he's a wonderful Doctor.
Excellent hospital.

Every time I've been its been an hours delay. No tv on. Had to ask for them to put it on for us waiting for such long times.
Appt made with me but cancelled by ringing the care home! Luckily I found out just before I made the journey.

I saw Dr Desai at Greater Lancashire Hospital for help with chronic upper back pain. He was very personable and compassionate, explained everything clearly and made sure I was in control of treatment options. Mel, the nurse assisting Dr Desai, was lovely and looked after me brilliantly. My whole experience has been very positive, from initial enquiry to booking an appointment and the visit itself. Thank you.

Staff were respectful and polite. Unfortunately was unable to contact the hospital on any line prior to my appointment to ask a few questions despite leaving a voicemail and contact details as well. Got to my appointment which wasn’t carried ahead due to a query which could’ve been sorted over the phone. Just a bit disappointing after waiting over a year to be seen and travelling to get there.
