I have applied to open an account with them and what a bad experience. They rarely reply, just when they feel like it and although I provided all required documents, they were not able to recognise an electric bill as an utility bill. I was just trying to open a savings account, so therefore to give them money but they seem to have high-school kids working for them who are not able to read a utility bill or feel like replying to account requests. What a lousy bank!!

I have found their new online portal impossible to use . When I gave verbal instructions instead, they did not follow my instructions, making a big mistake with the transaction amount. Because they don't confirm with any hard-copy letters, the only way I knew this had happened was by looking at my current account. Although you can get through on the phone and the staff are helpful,I would not recommend this bank.

We have just transferred out isa accounts to htb from Barclays due to their pettiness over the county being missing from the transfer form it has not been an easy feat , but htb have been fantastic . Benjamin was polite, friendly and extremely professional.
Kept up to date via emails as to the ongoing saga .
So thank you to all involved.

I have several accounts with HTB and can honestly say i have not had a bad experience in trying to speak to someone. Yes at times you may have to wait in a queue, but nowadays that seems to be the norm, whoever you are calling. Once i got to speak to someone, i cannot praise them enough. The staff i have spoken to have helped enormously and i found them to be polite and professional. ( No i do not work for HTB ). We live in a world where staff over many industries have been cut and yes it can be frustrating waiting in a queue to speak to someone. So long as at the end of the day your problems and enquiries are sorted in a polite and professional manner, all is good. I will continue to use HTB and have no hesitation in recommending them but that is my own personal opinion.

I opened an account with this bank and thank goodness I have not deposited any money with them! Trying to log into the account is impossible, despite saving my password the HTB log in website keeps telling me I've forgotten the password and advises me to call their helpline to reset it? This has occured on three occassions and I am no longer willing to wait in a queue to access the account. I have now invested my money with another bank with a decent IT system.
If HTB want's to keep existing and attract new customers it needs to sort out its log-in system.

The worst customer service available. Try to speak to someone and you get someone that wants to show their authority and be patronising. Need to learn some manners before answering the phone.

No response.... Had a call from customer service last week. Said that a different department will call back. I think they are still looking for that department.

I have 2 accounts with this bank, a savings and ISA. Getting through for help is beyond ridiculous. You are in a queue… I eventually got through, the lady was helping me and we got cut off. I am supposed to be getting emails from them - non… and I have checked my spam,
The support is non existent. If I can access my account I will be transferring elsewhere.
