Headway has been by far and away, the most helpful organisation for me in my 20 years of suffering from the quirks of head injury. From tolerance to memory problems to support and help, in an unpatronising way!

You only have to say NO and thats the end of it you are not pressurised into doing anything you don't want to do, but given any support you may need to do it if you so wish.

A cooked meal is available for a nominal contribution, tea and coffee with biscuits are available in the morning (included in the contribution).

The staff are all very friendly and helpful, backed up with a team of very eager volunteers. As a single man trying to survive the benefit system and living on my own, I couldn't ask for more support and help with my benefits and problems!

Have been coming here for a few months now and is an amazing place for anyone easing back into the world after brain trauma. I was very worried considering my stroke left me in a wheelchair at 27 and I felt rather isolated for some time; Headway allowed me to feel like I was part of society again rather than purely relying on others
