A highly incompetent company, that doesn't respond to clients, leaves issues unresolved. Finance partner is a disaster and unable to manage basic admin, debts or funds. I've had the displeasure of dealing with this company for nearly two years now and I'm at the point where escalation will be going to the Ombudsman

In 2020, I bought a newly built property in a small development managed by HML. The developer had appointed them, so I assumed they'd be pretty decent. How wrong was I!
I don't think they could have done much less work for their not insignificant management fee. It was a nightmare trying to get a simple response from our estate manager via email, never mind speak to them via phone.
Something else to be aware of is the fact HML have an insurance broker within their group of companies and exclusively use them for any and all policies needed by their clients. Once we ditched HML and appointed another management firm, it became apparent we had been paying higher premiums than the going market rate i.e. basically getting taken for a ride by HML's 'broker'. A complete conflict of interest.
The final insult once we finally escaped HML was trying to get our estate funds transferred to the new management company. It was much more difficult and far longer process than it should have been, however, after how abjectly bad they were with everything else, I suppose it summed things up pretty well.
My advice is don't touch with a bargepole.

HML are our managing agents and we have had such amazing help from them in sorting out our remortgaging paperwork. We were given a questionnaire from the solicitors with a ridiculous amount of questions and Rebecca Midson (our agent at HML) did not hesitate to help us find any and all information we needed. Even whilst sick, she managed to help research insurance and lease information for us, so that we could meet our mortgage deadline. It is great to know that I have someone onsite ready to help with any property issues that may arise and I feel very reassured by the professional and friendly service that I have always received from HML.

Poor poor show. Don't reply to emails or voice mails. Get the cheapest contractors they can find and with every one they hire the standard of work gets worse. We may be Clarion tenants but we are contributing to a rubbish service. 6 years of complaining about the lack of street lighting and still nothing gets done. So annoyed.

Where I live problems arise due to other citizens outside with rubbish and flytipping or breaking fences or gates or even residences breaking the main door, but recently during the lockdown when these problems came up and were reported to my managing agent Rebecca, within a day or over the weekend whilst she was working from home all got sorted from the door fixed to the flytipping person getting his own stuff out from the rubbish bins And the bin areas COMPLETELY cleared up, fences repaired gate repaired everything sorted, and I’ve never experienced this with any other agent before. She has been amazing and I just have to say truly Thankyou, because feeling safer whilst pregnant in lockdown is a blessing and being able to go with an issue knowing it’ll get looked into with the best care is an amazing feeling so Thankyou Rebecca 🙂

They never answer emails, have had a damaged ceiling for weeks now and just radio silence. Particularly Rob Marsh who is supposed to be head of their department, and should really lead by example. Infuriates me they take 2k from us each year…for what? CANT WAIT TO BE DONE WITH THEM
