We had a super clean ground floor room at the back. Very comfortable & warm. Brilliant shower & products , with lovely fluffy white towels. Breakfast was great , everything there for all tastes. I opted for a porridge pot & hubby had the hot breakfast, help yourself & plentiful. All the staff worked efficiently & the whole restaurant area was so clean , with tables cleaned promptly. |We will definitely return, it's a great improvement on our last stay a few years back.

Staff were helpful and pleasant when I checked in. The room was clean and modern. Unfortunately there were some issues.

The hotel advertises air conditioning, upon arrival this seemed to be set to "heat" mode, with no obvious way of switching it to cool. Normally in other Holiday Inn's it's centrally controlled, and is a simple case of asking reception staff to switch it over. In this case reception didn't know anything about it, and there was no duty manager present. Their only option was to ask maintenance to look at it the following day.

1. Why weren't reception staff trained in this

2. Where is the duty manager ? surely someone should be present to deal with issues beyond the ability of the reception staff.

3. I don't know if maintenance ever looked at it or even got the message, Nobody told me. I raised a case with HI about this while I was there, but haven't heard from them either.

So I had a rather uncomfortable couple of nights with the window open listening to traffic on the main road.

Looking at some other reviews one person mentioned this hotel doesn't actually have air conditioning, it has a heat recovery system. So basically a glorified fan unit, it does nothing to cool the room and advertising it as air conditioning is being rather conservative with the truth.

Another slightly irritating issue was less to do with the hotel, and more to do with the people that stay there. There are plenty of parking spaces, and yet people still choose to leave their vehicle wherever they like, including on double yellow lines. The hotel must know who these cars belong too since they take your registration at check in. And you'd have thought someone would ask them to move and park in a designated bay like everyone else manages to.

Fantastic stay. Staff on arrival were knowledgable and efficient whilst being friendly. Throughout our stay this didn’t change. Room was comfy and clean. Outside space was great and our dog enjoyed so much green space. Location is fab and breakfast was excellent. Fresh and tasty with lots of choice. Also the coffee was brilliant!

The room was standard but with stains and dirty bed sheets.
The location was good for the purpose of my business trip.

The service was poor from the point of arriving at the hotel. I arrived and requested a late check out, only to be given a 12pm time whilst I've received 1 or 2pm at other branches. Fine, I accept this on this occasion.
On the day of check out, the cleaners broke into the room whilst I was it was still occupied at 11:30am asking why I'm still here. I told them we had late check out and they proceeded to wait outside the room for the next half an hour. This is not what service should be like, and I was treated poorly on this occasion.

We have stayed here several times over the last year. We've always found it to be a clean and very comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.|Breakfast is great and there's lots of choices including much appreciated vegetarian sausages. These are cooked to order. We've also eaten evening meals at the hotel and found these to be very well presented and tasty too. |A nice touch is this is a dog friendly hotel and is situated near to Minster cemetery which is an ideal place to stretch our furry friend's paws. Being away from the road it's a bit quieter and has lovely views over Pegwell Bay. |Situated on a busy duel carriageway which links the Isle of Thanet with the motorway network, it's conveniently located. The soundproofing is great as you can't hear the traffic with the windows closed.|Many thanks for our enjoyable stays and creating very happy memories!

Firstly we were over charged. When I checked the receipt - addressed this at the reception informed this would be reimburse over the next few days and staff apologised. The beds were unbelievably uncomfortable to the point we slept on the floor! We did address this issue with the receptionist who informed us that all mattresses are the same. He offered extra pillows. He struggled to find pillows and knocked on the room with one pillow. We checked out of the hotel a day early as we couldn’t face to be anymore sleep deprived for the long journey back up north. Other than that friendly staff, good breakfast and clean room. Also has EV charging points and doggy friendly which was an attractions for us.

Comfortable budget hotel good value. Rooms comfortable and well appointed. |Breakfast was basic and forgettable.|Not very good ambient lighting in bedroom. Tiny bed lights or full ceiling lights. However at a good price you can’t complain.

The heritage look to the outside of this hotel (formerly the Prospect Inn) contrasts with the interior, which is modern, spacious, well laid-out and has a relaxing feel. The staff were smartly dressed, efficient, pleasant and attentive. The super clean room had comfy beds, good TV, tea/coffee and AC. The breakfast buffet comprised everything we could have wished for. The evening menu is modest, but the food was tasty. There is a large car park.
