Denton Holme Student Village.
Spending my 1st year here has been a lot of getting used to but fun!
The housing is decent for first time accommodation away from home allowing the social side to build.
The team are supportive and Bill the maintenance man is always top quality on his work.
The only downsides to living here is that it is a 30 minute walk to fuse hill campus, the washing machines and dryers are so overpriced and the no air flow for the bathrooms.

The heating and bills are fine as they match with the on campus accommodation. (Rooms can be roasting)

Overall this Student village is really something for new connections and socialisation being quiet but sometimes loud on the weekends.

It really has been a Good place to life overall for my 1st year, wouldn't go anywhere else.

Racheal and the staff are top class, always on hand when needed regardless if it’s a parcel to take in or an issue with the rooms. I’ve only had one issue with my room and it was fixed within a day. Friendly staff.
Parking is slightly expensive in my opinion and the mattress isn’t the most comfortable thing in the world, but for the price you pay would recommend to anyone coming to Carlisle. Brilliant location for shops, 15 minutes walk to the Fusehill campus and 10 minutes from town if you’re heading for any nights out. Rooms are spacious with enough storage, ensuite is a nice touch! The staff always have something on wheather it’s local gigs, Easter egg hunts, quiz nights etc, creating a friendly environment on site.

Great place to live, every problem that I have had has been dealt with extremely fast, so big props to the maintenance team and reception, place is yearly clean which is always appreciated, thanks for a great accommodation experience, would definitely recommend. Other benefits is that it is about 10-15 minutes to city centre and also have local shops about 4-6 mins away also, great destination, great people working for them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A decent option for student housing, about the same price tag as the Fusehill Street accommodation. If you don't have someone willing to act as Guarantor here, you cannot pay for the year in 3 sections, so do not choose this place if you have any worries about that.

Self catered and you have to clean up after yourself etc, there are regular inspections and it must be perfectly clean each time unless you want a warning. Each flat has one ground floor more accessible room, however it may be difficult for wheelchair users to get inside alone as the door needs a fair bit of force to open sometimes.

Noise levels of the area aren't too bad and it's in a very safe neighbourhood, not far from the Fusehill campus by foot. No loud music etc disturbed my stay, never felt in danger, a good spot.

The heating works well, a little too well. In summer it can get to over 30c inside a room on the first floor, and likely higher upstairs with no ventilation or cooling system provided and they were unable to make a difference to the heating systems temperatures despite repeated requests. The taps always run warm at first and don't go cold easily. You don't have to fear going cold in winter but in the heat your better off going outside than staying in.

Stayed here 2018-2019. All staff and security are lovely and warming and always make the students feel safe. Best Carlisle student accommodation, has large kitchen and living space with a television. Bedrooms are a good size for first timers living away and the bathrooms are always nice, especially the showers! Overall a really friendly environment and is the nicest and cleanest accomodation in Carlisle for the University

The actual accommodation is good quality, and the maintenance lad bill is good crack and friendly, but main staff that work out of the hub are too over involved in your business, and are generally nosey. Also quite strict and don’t expect students to have a drink and make a mess sometimes, prepare to be grilled about your flat failing an inspection if there’s two dishes in the sink and your bins are half full. Also expect to get 4 emails per day for silly little things. Location isn’t the best but still not that far to walk into centre of town and an extra 5-10 mins to fusehill campus. If you are at Brampton campus, then it’ll be about 30 mins to walk. If you’re a first year and want a quiet time, then DHSV is perfect for you, but if you want to go out and meet a lot of people and drink often then live at UNEST or Carrock. Also, there’s hardly any washers or dryers, and it’s expensive(obviously). Oh and security is bad, but at least they turned the cameras on half way through the year. Also parking is a fortune don’t bring your car
